Getting through the 7th Astra Era quests

I am currently about 40% of the way through the Seventh Astral Era MSQ; Heavensward seems a long ways away.

I am enjoying the story, but some of these quests are pretty long-winded and silly. It feels like I've gone from the epic hero in the MSQ from level 40-50ish back to a FedEx driver of the early levels.

Part of me is worried that by the time I finish the 2.1-2.55 quests, 4.0 will be out and the level cap will be increased again. I know the details are scarce, but roughly how far away are we from 4.0? This is probably a dumb worry to have, but it seems like a lot of work just to get to the expansion pack content with everyone else. Should I be worried or is it a long ways away before 4.0?

For those who are level 60 and are done of 2.55 MSQ, how long did it take you?

I think you still have plenty of time before 4.0 , I believe we won't see 4.0 till around early 2017?

Patches are 3 months apart, and while getting to the expansion takes a while, keep in mind you're playing months worth of content. The expansion itself isn't quite as long as ARR. So don't feel rushed, you've got plenty of to enjoy the game and its story

Oh hun, no worries. When we got our first tease of hard 3.0 content at the Fanfest the year before (which we may not even get this time as we may see 3.4 content instead), Heavensward was still about 8-9 months away.

I think we've got a year, AT LEAST, before 4.0 drops, and that's only if they are willing to take the same hellish workloads they did for HW.

Basically, you've got plenty of time to ease your way through everything 2.x and 3.x, so don't rush it.



And the story does pick up again. Right now you are in the odd gap of lore dumping and exposition that's required to understand much of HW. Once you get to Keeper of the Lake, things notably uptick.

You still have a good amount of time to get it all done. They also changed the way things work post 3.0. 3.1- on is more story focused, much less filler quests. Primals have gotten there own side story rather then being part of the main story as well.

I do tend to worry a little too much. Thanks for the quick answers, I'll try to relax a little and not feel so rushed to get to the end of the 2.0 quest line.
