Vote Kick Abuse in Frontlines

Hello, last night I was vote kicked in frontlines (shatter) with seconds before our team won easily. Why is this allowed to be possible to happen? I ended up manging to speak with one of the people who was on the team and that person had no idea why I was vote kicked and voted no. I was actively communicating with my team and doing all I could think of to try and have my team win. This is the first time in anything out of probably something close to 1,000+ duties I've been vote kicked, I've only started pvping heavily actively like a week ago, is this something common?

It's not common at all. However, if you weren't being a team player that could be why. If it was really something you didn't do, then just tuck it under the rug and move on. It's like being struck by lightning, doubt it will ever happen again.

It used to happen in previous FL game modes, but there was usually a reason. Dissension between players who actually wanted to win versus players who were only there for tomes was the most common cause (with the dominant voice winning). AFK players, Bots, and well known tome farmers would often get kicked on sight. The only other reason I ever encountered was when a semi-formed pre-made would boot a third wheel to open a spot on their team ... but that wasn't at all common, especially not at the end of a match. All of these things typically would happen fairly quickly at the start.

To the OP I can't imagine you have 1k+ frontlines and have not seen this happening. I have been pretty miserable in some matches and not been booted. But I have been healing another party that had no healer and been booted for not being near my party. Luckily that was before they changed the can't get back in. I qued back in and got a " You guys suck and I got the rewards so HA."

hello, not 1k frontlines, I only have 120ish frontlines, half of them were forever ago, but in all of those I'd actually never seen someone vote kicked either, even if our team is losing, everyone is cussing each other out, and people are attempting to vote kick that person who's 0/6 and already given up. 8 man PvP is probably the only potential scenario I'd ever have to get vote kicked, and, you're probably right in regards to the lone wolf part. I was taking bases because my team didn't need me for certain ices since they were free due to their positioning. I understand that among players there's always different strategies players have and sometimes it's hard to "sync" with what everyone should be doing at a certain time. This would be like in league if you're split pushing and your team is yelling at you for not being with the team, when there's actually nothing going on that would require your presence there. I can't imagine how many players would try to vote kick a proxy singed if it was possible for not understanding what that person is even attempting to do.

Votekick stories have two sides, yet we can see only one side here. Need at least 4/8 players to vote Yes, so obviously at least half of the team wasn't happy with what you were doing. Maybe you were a healer and weren't with your team in a crucial moment. Or maybe you died 5+ times and lost some score to your team, who knows. People are so easily pissed off in pvp.

I think there is something fucked up about the fact I can go in with a premade of 4 people and just vote kick someone at the end who sat in a queue for 40+ minutes that helped the team win because there was something particular I did not like about their play style and their mode of thought while receiving no punishment for doing so. I've moved past it, but the potential for it is sad, especially with gc locks, where all they do now is make you hate everyone on your team and the other team. The entire ideal of preconceived comradery is such a facade and all attempting to PvP here has done is make me want to just go back to league.

Depending on your 'active' method of communication, that could've incited the warrant for your dismissal. Enough people thought you deserve to be kicked so you obviously did something to annoy the people present.

Judging by the fact that you're a healer someone died and had a minor stroke from the rage and blamed you. That's what i'm assuming at least.

I've only ever seen votekicks and initiated votekicks because of communication. I don't care that you talk or don't talk in Frontlines. I just care if you're creating enough of a conflict in the chat channel that the alliance is wanting to fight you in chat more than they want to win the game. Otherwise, I've never seen a kick for any other reason than attitude.

Ive only seen vote dismiss for people who have dc'd and after time don't come back or people who leave. I have over 1k FL and i've never seen anyone kicked randomly.
