Thread: 1.0 player, played 2.0 beta, now back and lost/confused

If you want to be assured youre transfering to a busy server theres a simple solution(other then listening to Enkidoh - which i guess is also simple). The next time youre about to log on at your "usual" playtime, look at the character creation restriction post on the Lodestone. They update it 5 times a day, so its never more then 5 hours old. The servers that are blocked are the ones that are busiest at the time of the most recent post. Some servers(like Balmung that Enkidoh is on) are basically always blocked. My understanding is that a transfer bypasses the character creation restriction, so you should be good to go.

Sargantanas was a busy server when I was on it and the people was fine. The only reason I moved was because when I came back they had an EU data centre.

Yeah its so dead was trying to a low lvl story quest where you form your first party..yeeaah after couple of hours sitting in the duty cycle group thing with no luck I was like think its time to change Lol. Was of course doing other quest while it found me a group, thank God they have that in 2.0. As i explore the game i am just amazed at how beautiful and a totally different game it is Lol. Like the analogy 'night and day" does not even do it justice in my opinion lol. Loving it !

Duty Finder lets you select which languages to use when matching you up with other players, but by default it only selects the language you have the game set up to use for dialog, menus, etc. On a Japanese server, getting a group can be really slow unless you also include Japanese in your DF language selections. (Of course, if you do include it, then your teammates are justified in expecting to be able to speak Japanese, and you might be limited to using auto-translate if you don't know the language.) But, at least it would get you into groups faster. It might be slow if it's trying to match you up with other English speakers on a JP data center.
