Would be nice if we could have new ways to obtain these items as there's no sense in having them unobtainable like the Legacy tattoo.
Here's a pic with a character of mine with some of them as reference.

Wow, looking at those shoes looks seriously useful for towns. Sign me up! (for those who don't know, it allows infinite sprinting in Towns)

You can still get Garlond Goggles as far as I know.
Just gotta find an old 1.0 Collectors Edition! I mean I've had mine forever but it's not like new pairs ingame don't show up now and then.
I have a code for the armguards but they won't take them anymore. That's seriously lame.
As for the Shoes, we just need an XI sub crossover again!

Square doesnt think their player base could handle such op effects on a piece of gear. Go away with that and lets keep the boring gear we have now.
Honestly, I'd be all for them doing the XI sub crossover once more, or just making that permanent thing if you sub to both you get the shoes. The goggles, I fear would be far too expensive to obtain at this point for me to justify hunting them down. Mog Station or In-game would be nice. You can still get Garlond Goggles as far as I know.

Oh boy, these type of threads don't usually end well.
....Anyways, do those Hermes Shoes still grant infinite sprint in cities or was that just a 1.0 thing?
Don't really see the problem as I own most of these already and would have no qualms of other people owning these trinkets that were obtainable in 1.0. Their implementation is far too scarce and at this point, old.
And it still does, yep. Including in Ishgard.
I should probably dig these bad boys out. I live in town these days, would be nice.
The retainers bring back 1.0 stuff don't they?
