    I think that's the 1st time I've not seen the 2yo response to that...
    An whilst I disagree as its a simple and obvious abbreviation of "cartoon character".
    I still stand on people will know what is meant regardless so no harm is done, an so I will still use whichever pops into my head as I type.

    I don't know who started using the term "toon." It does make sense since it is another word for character. Though, it doesn't mean the same things as an avatar. An avatar is a graphical representation of the user. Toons just remind me of, cartoons.

    Toon is a wow term and should not be used in FFXIV just how players call Magic point "Mana" It best to stay with the FFXIV terminology before everyone start using wow one. I don't mind mana but in ffxiv it's not called that so it better to call it MP or the right terminology for it.

    I did not want to start a fight over it but i dislike when people use terminology from other game.
