    Vault

    So... I'm having a a helluva time leveling my tanks through Vault. The past four runs have ended in failure at the hands of Ser Sherbert. (I don't remember his name, don't care to). The common problem seems to be that the healer gets chained to someone and either doesn't run from the person they're chained to, or the other person doesn't run away from them, and they either get stuck in stacked aoes or run into the knights. As a tank, I can't really do anything to make the run easier, except for mitigate my damage to make it easier to heal me, but that won't stop the healer going down because of mechanics.

    I need a sound strategy that I can tell people to try to ensure a clear next time. So, my question is about Holy Chain. Would it automatically break if the DPS and healers were as far as they could be from each other before it appears? Also, would it be easier to tank Ser Sherbert at the bottom of the arena to allow people more room to weave between the knights?

    It really boils down to your team not being stupid. You're doing everything you can on your end, but if people are ignoring mechanics and running into or standing in the stupid, then you are going to fail regardless.

    People with chains need to be as close to each other as possible when the ability goes out. The shorter the chain, the less distance they need to move apart for it to break.

    It's a a mechanic, so of course they're going to ignore it, even if you tell them to. There's not a whole lot you can do.

    Huh... so it's not about total distance then, just distance needed to travel after it's set?

    In my opinion, Heavensward content required everyone to do more stuff, not jus stand in one spot and burn enemies. That said, dps don't dodge, healers don't multitask, and tanks have tunnel vision.

    The lose of Vault comes from these things and people begin to blame each other.

    If you're tired of vault and you've already ran your daily you can run 1-10 of deep dungeon repeatedly. Just run it, reset, and go again. Takes about 10 minutes and nets you the same as you'd get for a daily leveling. Running as a tank doesn't even hurt the group DPS at that low of a level AND you can farm more silver chests for weapons.

    Queue times are short to since it just takes 4 ppl of any class to start one.
