Sole Survivor is poop.

That's right. Sole Survivor is a poop skill. In its current state, it pales in comparison to the mighty edgelord skill it COULD be.

Sole Survivor can only be cast on ENEMIES. Now, sure, it gives you a huge chunk of HP and MP back, but really now -- who cares about HP and MP? It's the fact that you can't cast it on your friends which makes this skill blasphemy. I bet my fellow edgelord friends can relate to my anguish; there are times when I sense a party member's impending doom, yet I can do nothing but watch as they are KO'd and their soul flies from my grasp. Their SOULS ARE BELONG TO ME, for why else would I have them in my party!?

So this is my suggestion: Make it so that us mighty edgelords may cast Sole Survivor on our own party members. That would make for some serious fun times, as casting sole survivor on your friends is pretty much like saying "you dead, bro".

P.S. If it was possible to cast Sole Survivor on yourself, that would make for some interesting interactions between Dark Knight's skillset -- specifically with Living Dead.

Yep, this is why using it on party members is never happening.

Though using it on yourself might be kinda neat. Might save your AST a GCD if you aren't running WHM for Bene. Dunno if it's really worth the dev time, but don't imagine it doing any harm.

I like this suggestion a lot, because it would make it more useful in boss fights (in boss fights without adds it actually becomes useful), it is funny, and matches the description of the spell better than how it currently works.

Yeah, a self-targetted Sole Survivor would not only interact in an interesting way with Living/Walking Dead, but it would also reinforce the "undying" theme of the Dark Knight.

Its a great move I love using it to help with heals and it restores your MP

The thought of it being applied to yourself as a sort of nope button is amusing, but I would love to see it keep the PVP trait of increasing damage to the target.

i was just thinking that it would be cool if you could maybe stack sole survivor like wrath/deliverance and then unleash it somehow, some kind of lore like gathering souls of the fallen.
