The problem is with long que times they may go afk for a moment and it pops on them. They may get started doing something waiting then decide they want to finish/continue what they started and cancel the que or they forget they were in que and by the time it pops they change their mind about it.

I was waiting on Frontlines to pop for 75 minutes last night. I ended up making a very quick trip to the restroom, get back into the room with 2 seconds left on the timer, and was unable to hit accept in time. I never cancel a queue I've been waiting forever for, but the reality of it is that these queues tend to pop at the most awful times. After I get my PvP glamour gear, I'm never stepping foot into those modes until restrictions are removed. Know how long I wait to get a match in Street Fighter, Battlefield, or Dark Souls? Not 75 minutes, that's what. The ridiculous queues make me lost interest in this game entirely because the developers value player time so little that they haven't bothered addressing the issue.

At the contrary, they do value time, just not the way you would like them to.

Why? Long queues = it takes longer to achieve what you are trying to do = you play longer = you stay subbed longer = more money in their pockets.

You know exactly what I meant by what I said, and I suspect you know there's a difference between acceptable queue times in a grind meant to keep players playing (curent raids, tomes, etc.) for the long term and content that is "dead" because of poor developer decisions ("but my lore!"). Saying long queue times keeps people playing is like saying Diadem was a developer success because those queues never pop. People keep playing for the other content, not for the dead content.
