I went to farm some aldgoat skins today. With direct targeting on and two aldgoats standing in a row in front of me, it targeted the one BEHIND the nearest one. Like this.

----1----

----2----
-4-------
---3-----
----x----

Targeting only engaged mobs doesn't fix that. It only limits it to a smaller selection of mobs, and with gamepad having few mapping options I'm not sure how I am supposed to target a mob not engaged to me while having another one engaged, for example when being the puller in a group.

What I want is this:
----4----
---------
----3----
-2-------
---1-----
----x----

YOU feel like YOUR talking to a wall, I even explained why your targeting further mobs but I don't think you even read it... I don't know what else to tell you other then to use the mouse, I'm not having the same problem and I'm using a PS3 controller for everything... I don't think you want to try my solutions to fix the problem, you want SE to waste more time adding more features to an already complicated targeting system... It's not broken at all and theres absolutely nothing wrong with the targeting system perhaps we're playing 2 different games with controllers... -_-
Seriously? Dude, "talking to a wall" was aimed at Firion being stuck with his vertical list being better than the same list aligned horizontally.

It's all great you are satisfied with the current targeting system, I'm not. And I'm not alone on that. No matter who I ask ingame, people agree the targeting system is one of, if not the most frustrating aspect of this game.
