having target nearest does't do a damn thing when you want to target the next nearest or the next next nearest.

Current target priority is given to "side of cycle to midline" so that means if you press target nearest you'll get what ever is up front and closest to you. But as soon as you cycle off that it will target what ever mob is "left" or "right" most of your field of vision to the the next in to midline of you "FoV"

fig. 1)

|-------o-----------------------------|
----|------------------o----------|
------|-----o-------------o-----|
---------|-------o------o-----|
------------|----o---A----|
---------------|---NE--|
-----------------|X

fig.1 if you have nearest enemy targeted but you want to target "A"

fig 2)
|-------o-----------------------------|
----|------------------3----------|
------|-----o-------------1-----|
---------|-------o------2-----|
------------|----o--4A----|
---------------|---NE--|
-----------------|X

fig. 2 if you use right to left cycle targeting it will take you 4 cycles to target even if you have "nearest enemy" on.

fig 3)
|------1o-----------------------------|
----|------------------o----------|
------|----2o-------------o-----|
---------|------4o------o-----|
------------|---3o--6A----|
---------------|--5NE--|
-----------------|X

fig. 3 if you use left to right cycle targeting it will take you 6 cycles to target "A" even if you have "nearest enemy" on.

the problem with our current targeting system if that it works from the edge of you field of view and works it's way in regarless of distance.
