I'm in support of this idea too.
Can we somehow make it a thing for the Wolves' Den Pier or the Gold Saucer? Does Eorzea have broadcast technology and/or can Cid or the other technologically inclined make it so?

Well that and they should update Wolves Den Pier its always the same meanwhile Idyllshire gets a change every major patch rip
Good question ...They have airships, mechanical engines, and the ability to transmit sound. The Garleans have also shown evidence of rudimentary computer displays and some form of radar in many of their devices ... so, I'd say that even if there isn't any evidence of visual broadcasts as of yet (and there could be, and I could just not be recalling it), I can't imagine it would be too difficult for them to figure out how to do it. However, even if they don't figure it out, I still don't see that being a problem. They could always just write it off as a arena viewer's box or some such. The Feast and WD arenas are very clearly within the vicinity of WD Pier, and the cheering during a kill and the booing during a Culling Time already indicate that there is a crowd watching from somewhere. Nothing to say that we're not part of that crowd.
The question I would have, though, is how would we like our spectating to be handled? Typically, spectating in a PvP game modes is done in one of two ways: either, a) we follow specific players on the team and rotate through them when we want to swap perspectives, or, b) we get various fixed cameras set up around the arena and we swap through those. Given that there are two teams, I kind of favour the fixed camera approach (less clutter), but it might be easier for new people to study specific jobs if they can follow those characters more closely ...
