Not to sidetrack the thread, but having made it past the 3rd quest, are there any tips for getting credit in the FATEs? The attack from the elbst is so slow that the bombs are dead before I get anything off most of the time.

For the first one, stand below the big bomb and spam the elbst's attack. A good thing about it is it doesn't need you to target anything. Also, you have a few seconds after the FATE starts but before the mobs spawn. Use these precious seconds to level sync down and start casting Saturate. The bombs should spawn right when the cast finishes. You'll either claim mobs or at least to dmg to alot of them, then just spam saturate.
For the 2nd part, move to where the water meets the sand. Same thing here: When the FATE starts, you'll have a few seconds to sync down and start casting Saturate. The bombs spawn spread out here. You'll have to memorize where the spawns are. Don't worry about all the bombs, just pick a spawn and the spawn next to it and just go back and forth between the two. By the time one bomb dies, the next one has spawned in the other area. Don't run from spawn to spawn, you don't need to.
You must have been grouped, which causes mobs, including passive ones, to link with other mobs around them. After realizing my lvl60 MNK was killing them in one auto-attack and being too lazy to take all of my gear off, I simply switched to one of my lvl30ish classes and nothing aggroed me besides the respawning bombs because I was solo.
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
Events such as these really show what people are like, don't they? Was quite entertaining to read the chat at times.
You can't have developers perform functionality tests or things like this will happen.
Can we have a test server, SE?
They should just hire some non japaness devellopers, they could tell them, right at the begining during brain storming meating what will happen every time \o/
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.

Here in Malboro there was already a case of a little group that got together to purposely (They admitted it themselves pretty much) kill the bombs to prevent others from completing it. Was quite something.
What the devs made a mistake of was assuming that every player around is nice and will gladly work together. They forget that there are trolls and the not so nice players around, can't exactly change their behavior though.

SMN/BLM/WHM/SCH/AST auto attackHow can you work together in this daily quest when the mobs are level 30(majority of people have all classes above this level) and the bombs die in two hits or one hit, a level 60 with gear cannot do this solo or in a party. Plus if you are level 30, the wind sprites aggro onto you when you are doing nothing.
Level 60 PLD can autoattack fine without taking off gear. Shield Oath -> right click to attack -> wait -> use item.
That's assuming no one else ruins it. Looking pretty easy this morning but I'm sure the trolls will be back at prime time.
