3rd quest of this Moonfire Faire is ridiculous!

Well I was able to finish it by auto attacking as a botanist but the problem was that a lot of people, even after explaining it over and over again, still attacked the bomb after the first person did, which means that either you got lucky and managed to catch it or they killed it before the item was casted..thanks to laggs I somehow missed some after the cast went through. But even if all would attack as a low level or gatherer it would still kill the bomb thanks to the number of people there. Heck I even saw some people with their own bombs that killed them themselves. I really felt the need for a facepalm emote..Sadly people also did not want to create a line because most believed that it was useless since some might go against it and others didn't even listen..

So either some people are uhm a little slow or they are trolling.

Yes we could all wait for it but there are two problems. First a event should be doable with lots of people doing it at the same time because its a bad design if people have to wait for days to be even able to finish it (and having to look at all those nice poses during the wait). And second if even half of the people would do that, it would only postpone that effect since a lot of people would be doing that at the end which would create the same situation again. You also don't need a lot of people that are trolling for this to be hard, one or two are enough to at least make this not easy and fast. And lets not forget that this is the holiday season for lots of people, so now might be the only chance to participate in the event.

Its just nice that this was not only a problem on NA and EU servers since the first post was on the JP forum and its good that they will change it, but still they should have known that something like that will probably happen..really the chance that there are only like 5 people around for the bombs and that all of them will play by the rules is really low. (Not that it wont happen like that) So why not spawn at least more bombs at this place or even more on different places to split the people a little. I mean you need all three bombs for the quest..so even with only two people there it could create unnecessary conflict.

I was also a little sad that you only got one ticket for each of the quests. Depending on the numbers of people, the fate was over quite fast and could give you up to 8 tickets. (Which most of the time I did get and only used the mount as a lvl60 SMN) So in the end doing those quests would be way less efficient than the fate and you have to do the quests or the fate because you probably would not have time to reach the fate if you are doing a quest. So it would be nice if they could at least give 3 tickets per quest, to even be a good alternative to the fate.

I think when they go to test this internally they should assign 3 staff to be bad guys and do everything in their power to ruin the event, and then keep adjusting until the team evil can't mess things up.

3 people would not be able to emulate the same griefing tactics done by dozens of players we see in game now.

Made me laugh how many people were spaming to report me, even attacking me cause of my name. The salt and rage is real in this event, everyone is like pringles right now.

Can confirm, just did this on gilgamesh. It's a mess, chat filled with trolls/others laughing about how salty people are that they can't do the quest.

I managed to get my 3 on my low level NIN through a bit of luck and a lot of dagger throw spam but it was NOT fun.

Yeah I tried to see if I could manage it on my rouge and manage to get a first strike on 2 bombs but they ended up dying to holy's before i could use the item lol

^^^This is what people have to deal with in game right now This person been sitting there for over an hour "having fun", calling people salty and cry babies for wanting to finish that part of the quest and move on.
