Problem with this is my friends and I DO use /tell to communicate. It's often easier and more comfortable to discuss things through that verses a public channel like /fc.

Being on a server that spams you with all kind of tells, not only gold sellers but also 3 people fc's claiming to be the best and biggest fc on the whole server kinda bs, I opened a LS for my friends and I. Every day I log in, first thing I do is set myself to busy. That stops the tells and everything else we want to discuss we are using FC chat for, friends not being in the fc or if we just want to be silly and chat about none sense we are using the link shell. Another bonus you can chat with your friends via link shell even when entering dungeons compared to tells. I found that a much better solution than having to ban every gold seller etc.
