Personally, I think the worst are those that list items at (or, strangely, below) NPC buy-back prices.

It's really hard to understand from an egoistical point of view, but if you view if from a more communal point of view, it makes sense - better put it on the market than vendor it, as someone might need it and they'll be happy to get it cheap. It's not a big loss for you but might be a good gain for someone else.

The onliest issue I have with the current system are the paid retainers.

People that are paying for all 6 additional retainers do have the amount of market board slots growing up to 400% compared to regular players.

Every day I'm storing alot of items, because I'm at the limit of my market board slots with my two retainers. Till I get the space to sell the stored items, many times the prices dropped alot. So people with additional retainers do alot more money than me, because they have much more room to sell items the same time.

In my eyes this is an advantage that should not be there in a pay to play game.

In all honesty I should be THE LAST person suggesting this lol. I'm just trying to help others and new crafers feel more welcome to the board.

You are confused because you are focused primarily on long-term profits. Most players are not interested in using the market board to make money over the long term. Many are just posting various items they have gotten from various sources and just want to sell them as soon as possible in order to get their profit.

The answer to this is limit that advantage to 4 retainers (2 free + 2 paid can do MB) and even if someone max's out their retainers to 6 paid, thhey still only have up to 4 retainers with MB access. Alternately have a market board proxy 'offfice' in each city that allows you, the player to sell items directly with slightly higher tax rate (or proxy commission + regular tax) and allow all players a maximum of 80 MB entries at any time, either through retainers or the market board proxy.

This would also help tidy up the MB since there are categories with dozens of things from the same seller, and if their MB space were more limited, they would have to be more selective.

Well that's my 2 gil on that idea at least.

If you want more profit, get more retainers, simple as that. I know from gm's that they won't even interfere when you form a cartel to increase prices of the goods. So there is 0 chance, they will ever regulate the market. They will only do it for stuff like house selling where a lot of gil (like 100 Mio gil) might be involved, what would totally destroy economy. But the retainer MB system regulates itself so no chance for you, sorry.
