I mean, if you think of monsters as just being regular animals, it's not immediately evident as to who is male and who is female..

It would be a neat feature to have though. Kind of like how there are gender differences in Pokemon, though I don't know how that would tie into FFXIV's mechanics.

Aside from the animal type monsters (where its hard to see the difference between a male and female ), arent most monsters void creatures? Do monsters from the void even have a gender?
