You won't get banned. Your old FC will also not get banned should they decide to announce you stole from them publicly either.

Not sure about the FC not being ban for announcing it, or at least the player doing it, SE does not like public denunciation, even if it's deserved :/ (which is, in some cases, such a shame cause some people would deserve to be named regarding some attitude we can see in PF....)

You probably won't be banned but, by doing it and tralking about it on the forum, it might be hard for you to find a new FC cause people might see you as a thief and bad reputation tend to stick on people ^^"

Depends. If said FC announced it in PF or typed up something like "this <insert cursing here> thief..." etc, then yes, they might get into trouble. If they simply warned future FCs this person joins, they wouldn't. I've also heard GMs will step in if people have an agreement in chat and one tries to run off with free gill/items.

Square dosent deal with fc matters its like when people join fc's and clean out the fc chests square wont do anything thats on the leader of the fc

You won't be banned because it was the fault of the FC for not setting permissions but hopefully you'll be PLAYER banned as in...you know, those players telling others about your dick move.

If you need to wait for the leader or officers to be online and ask for their permission, doesn't that defeat the purpose of the rank settings that give permission to take things whenever?

So, I was in a FC and I used their company credits to buy the portraits and I left. I know that's bad move but I honestly just wanted to see what they looked like in portrait form. Today, one of the members whispered me and said that they will have me banned/reported because of me "robbing" them. My theory is that the FC leader is at fault for not regulating what certain ranks can do in the FC. I was the lowest rank and I could add/move furniture and all that good stuff. I have been in many other FC that would only let the low ranks just feed the chocobos or tend to the plants.

If they let every rank use them, then they should expect every rank to use them. They can complain about robbing all they want, but there's no such thing as "withdrawing permission afterwards". If they had certain expectations about what people can and can't take and after what amount of time of being in the fc, they should have set the ranks accordingly.

I'm suddenly reminded of in one guild incident in WoW where there was a TCG mount (they're rare and sell for a lot of gold) and I asked about it and why it was in the public access tab. I was told a player would ask the GM about it and for no one to touch it, the following week it was gone and I was accused of taking it when our poorest player suddenly was talking about how much gold they'd come into....

Why even make this thread? Nothing in the TOS stated you can get banned for "stealing" in your FC. If that's the case alot of players would be banned.

90% of players dont read a game's ToS or forum rules so....Honestly, this thread just makes the person forever look bad since you can't change your forum name....so forever known as the FC thief I guess lol.

Well yeah, its the same as iTunes TOS, you just click accept! But most of the stuff in the TOS is common sense (or maybe that's just me).
