it's the hardest dungeon in the game actually.Palace of the dead is the easiest grind content in the game. It's lower than just doing dungeon roulettes, fates, diadem or what have you.
Why not just put all the weapons, mounts and pets you can get from it on the mgp vendor in gold saucer if wanna nerf. That sounds fine with me.
mimics arent a problem, never were. They are only if you skip all mobs to open only chest and find yourself fighting a mimic lvl 27 when you are barely 20, then it can even one shot you (I exagerate but yeah). I would advice people to clear floors. Mines are random it happens but to be faire even if you have the red marks on the floor because you have made everything visible many player find still a way to walk on those. Not sure if they do it on purpose or just dont care. Traps are fun, they give a challenge. I am not sure where you see any problems. The only pain in the neck are those owl type of monsters (Skatenes?) that sleeps you, but then again if you have the level is no more a problem, they go down fast. This goes also for slimes.
I also noticed that people have to absolutely run in packs, I as healer try to always remain behind a bit just in case. I call that strategy. Too many run around mindlessly. I also noticed players splitting going to do their own things and complain if they walk on a mine and well healer is not there because healer is busy healing the other 2 or one of the others.
No, so far is fine as it is. The only thing i would agree is either increase the number of purity potions drop OR reduce the timer of the duration of the debuff that mimics put on you 9mn I think is is a bit exagerated, especially if no healer in a group.
Other then that is fine as is. Just walk more careful.
You all complain about it because you all want to go through fast fast fast, where as mines, traps and mimics whatever force you to be more cautious. Of course mistakes happen no doubt there, but maybe pay more attention be more considerate of your fellow party members and things go fine I wiped twice so far in PoTD mostly because someone pulled too many.

When moving from room to room, don't be so close together. When a mine explodes or you get pacification & silenced, it will only be the one who triggered it. Same thing goes for opening up silver coffers. Let one person do it and stand away. Also like mentioned earlier, pull and fight mobs in hallway, not in rooms. Palace of the Dead is my most favorite content at the moment and like it's sense of surprise and danger, unlike regular dungeons.

They really need to create a sarcasm font....
POTD is teaching terrible, horrible habits to people as they level up with barely any effort. You barely have time to learn a real rotation. You don't need to assist. You can pull multiples as long as you aren't stupid about it (certain mobs in multiples are death or close to it). Sneak around to get to chests, or popping chests mid-combat. Being situationally unaware (nothing like the bard that hits the trap that is showing because you used the pomadore). But at least I can level my alts up easily, I can always learn to play them later.
Ever since PoTD arrived we've seen thread after thread complaining about it being too easy, and now comes the topic essentially requesting a nerf because of multiple wipes - aka it's too hard.
If we are seeing feedback from both sides of that issue - too easy/too hard - the it seems likely that the difficulty is about right.
Of course it also results in mixed messages here.

He isn't wrong. They really need to create a sarcasm font....

But it speaks more to how piss easy normal dungeons are, than to how difficult PoTD is.
I do like that trash mobs actually have mechanics you have to watch out for and that you need to stay on your toes, though. If only mobs had more health in 4 man parties, it feels like they gave them a reasonable amount of HP for single or 2 player groups, but didn't adjust at all for people who enter as a light party.
My only irritation with the trapped chests / mimics is when you hit a streak where it feels like every silver chest you see is not a real chest ><.

Challenge would require quick action or reflexes to deal with a situation. Random BS is just that.
Visual cues to warn players of mimics (like dark souls does it with the chains) and traps would be nice because then it's up to reaction time rather than just being well one second and being dead the next.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)

I've never just straight up died in PoTD, sans one time when I didn't know that slimes exploded if they lived for too long. Everything that is a one shot is easily counterable by smart play-always expect the worst, don't move more than necessary when fighting something, pull things with a ranged attack whenever possible, stay topped off, etc.Challenge would require quick action or reflexes to deal with a situation. Random BS is just that.
