    Reduce frequency of traps and mimics in Palace of the Dead

    I think the novelty of traps and mimics has worn off now. I've had three wipes today, numerous lures, land mines and mimics, and sometimes a mixture of all three. I understand the point of the dungeon is to have random danger, but it almost seems like the frequency has gone UP in terms of traps lately. Instead of having fun with Palace, it's now far more annoying than anything.

    Loved the item that turns monsters on the next level into mandragoras or mimics. The amount of monsters in the first floor of the next level was insane, plus mimics are pretty tough, then the adds came!

    At least have mimics drop some loot!

    I didn't find it fun in the first place, there's no thought or skill - just wondering if the chest you're about to open is going to explode on you.

    I'd be much happier if we had something like the transportation in Beast Tribe quests, as a puzzle, and then if we failed it would explode. Not just random wipes.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

    I've never just straight up died in PoTD, sans one time when I didn't know that slimes exploded if they lived for too long. Everything that is a one shot is easily counterable by smart play-always expect the worst, don't move more than necessary when fighting something, pull things with a ranged attack whenever possible, stay topped off, etc.

    Yeah, I'm not even complaining about the "difficulty". This isn't hard. This is trolling. See a silver chest? Expect an upgrade? No. Have an explosion. On every floor. Or a mimic. On every floor. Let's do it while someone's fighting, and someone just stepped over a lure trap. The fake silver chests seem to have increased in frequency lately, but maybe it's just the RNG gods frowning upon me.

    PotD most definitely does not need a nerf. I've fought plenty of mimics and hit plenty of traps. But that's the point of the place. Just be careful. Stun a mimic's infatuation if you can and they are really easy.

    I duo it all the time with my bf. And even faced mimic rooms. We're both DPS! We can consistently beat PotD.
