What they did to this game is basically like if they made a next chapter of Mario Bros. But it played like Sonic the Hedgehog. Tanaka had FFXI in his head when developing 1.0. Yoshi had/has WoW in his head for 2.0 and beyond. The writing is on the wall.

Yeah. One became arguably the worst flop in gaming history and the other one of gaming's most surprising turnarounds.

This Guy gets it! Like let us get a rng dungeon that is swarming and i mean SWARMING with enemies, not the potd though. something harder and less forgiving.

Can't... 'cause that would be the first step in removing scripted fights. Something this player base wouldn't be able to handle thus making the game harder for them.

XI and XIV do not have to be styled the same. Final Fantasies 1, 7, 10, 12, and 13 for example all play differently. The FF MMOs are no different. They can each be their own game.
