Leveling/Jumping potions for Alts? What do you think?

Personally, I'd really like to have a leveling potion that starts an alt (on the same account) in Ishguard. Obviously you'd need at least one character on that account to have done the 2.0 storyline or even have gotten to 60. But I really don't want to start over with all of that stuff again on a second character. It's too painful.

What do you think?

I mean, I'd be okay with it, but there's really not much of a market for it. The only real reasons to even have an alt character are raid lockouts or to do the story again, so I feel like only raiders would take advantage of this.

No I don't support this. I'm not in favor of leveling potions period and i just got my 3rd alt to Heavensward.

It would make it easier to get alts up to speed, so I'm fine with it.


Then again it could also kill the duty finder queue since no one would be in the low level dungs.

My vote is also no. I have 2 characters that have completed everything through 3.3.

I'm indifferent. Replaying the story is the main reason I make alts so I would never use it but I don't mind if others want it.

I think instead of leveling potions they should have leveling boosts. Besides, if you're leveling a new toon you're gonna have to play through the entire story anyway.

I do not see anything wrong with leveling the alts via a leveling jumping potion. Aslong as they dont start selling them to newcomers aswell.

EDIT: I fear this will give SE the suggestion to sell it to newcomers aswell, so maybe we should not ask for it.

They should look at why people want to skip the msq from the 2.X series and then adjust that to an agreeable state instead of selling it.

I mean heck if you're going to start thinking of selling potions to bypass the story then why the hell even have that story limit content then?

I'd want them to actually fix the problems with the leveling experience instead of just trying to sell the "solution". Because as soon as you start selling the "solutions" you're far more likely to create more problems to profit from.

P.S I have about 5 alts and I honestly don't see why you would want to get past the leveling experience on one seeing as they made it so easy that you only need to do your daily dungeon and msq. The 2.X bit is where it gets rather dull and tedious but it's something that can easily be fixed by having an npc at Steps of Faith that allows you to fast forward to heavensward if you so choose instead.
