How do you feel about them talking about divided servers?

I feel we should just have a better connection established to get rid of the lag and better auto translate to help the other languages communicate. I am reading the jp forums and most of them are complaining about communication and the childishness of most foreign players (american, euro etc etc), and how they are patient and more polite.
As a community we (Americans) should be more friendly to each other rather than be the stereotypical american that everyone loves to hate. If they divide the servers it just wont feel like FFONLINE to me anymore.

I feel like that too, I much prefer the servers as they are now: everyone together.
Americans, Japaneses, Europeans, we all have some quirks that might bother the others, but it's ok. That's what it is to deal with other people to begin with. My personal experience of it though is that we are doing great together. I have no problem with Japanese, French, German or American players. I do my best to accommodate the Japanese players when we are in an English party (with the little Japanese I know) and the same with the others. There are xenophobes, childish players and jerks on all sides, let's just not give in to their demands and allow them to learn to play happily together. It might actually help them in real life too, to accept differences and deal with it.

when the game cant alt + tab, the chat can be solve by "google translate". I dont want region separate either, player from different region can play together is a good thing, no ?

The big problem here is the server lag. I live in europe, and I find the lag to sometimes be up to 4 seconds. If regional servers is the price I have to pay for better servers more stability and less lag, then so be it.

Hardly. With properly optimized servers your lag would be reduced to around 0.2-0.3 seconds at worst. Right now even the Japanese with 0.002 second lag are experiencing the same delays as you are.

In some other games 0.3 seconds is a huge number, but in this game they could easily lock everyone to 200ms and nobody would notice.

For personal reasons I will be disappointed if regional servers make it in. I always felt that I couldn't reach FFXI's full potential because I could only speak English, and I was excited that this time it wouldn't be the case, but that won't happen if regional servers are included.

Coming from FFXI, I loved the diversity of whole world servers. It always seemed busy as it was always some part of the worlds prime time to play.
The added benefit of course is you could fill up your auction house before going to bed, and log in the next day with the chance things have sold to our cousins on the other side of the world

The regional servers are more for the player language. The servers stay in Japan.

Let them divide them. No one is forcing you to move to a language specific server hopefully this will get rid of the jp onry / childish American thing. Don't like dealing with people who cant speak your language well then you will have no excuse now. I've seen this behavior in 11 but so far never in 14 so some people might just have bad luck and run into a lot of jerks.
