Different Mounts

Just had a thouht while reading through the latest mounts topic.


I know its a touchy subject and myself i cant really see past chocobo's for mounts.

But i see an opportunity to make something different in a FF game, why not have those who stick around during the lead up to 2.0 have this special mount but please make that, SPECIAL don't waste this chance on a gobbue or a drake (ok a drake might be quite sweet) but i think a mount that is better rather than special like a black/blue/red/gold chocobo (let the player choose) that runs faster than the standards and GC issue ones.

i know this then might take away from there plans in breeding for chocobo's in the future, so it a difficult situation.

Another direction could be for this ability to ride a wild beast they could assign to a Beast-Master type of class or ability gained from a expansion storyline in the future, where like B-S in FFXI your tamed wild beast could turn on you at anytime and make a good situation very bad, but don't bring pot rideable mounts to that ability.

Players who stick through to 2.0 should not be getting anything that makes the game easier for them in any way. Unique cosmetic rewards that offer no other game play benefits are fine.

like choco's since found they can whistle; black choco i would take
