So this got moved from Accepted bugs to working as intended.

Is this the devs attitudes really?

    Failure to support new hardware.

This is inarguably a bug but when they cbf fixing it they will just dismiss it, poorly.

Ignore the text and just watch the video at the bottom, its easier that way.

Puts me off the game TBH. Even indie devs on Steam with a $5 game would fix something like this.

    I couldn't replicate this behaviour.

Though my guess is that the software mouse has been given a set screenspace resolution while you turned it on in windowed mode, and once in fullscreen that hasn't updated its screenspace boundaries.

Why not go fullscreen then software mouse?

It makes no difference, I cant play DX11 at all in Fullscreen, this is one of the two bugs that make it unplayable for me (I cant access any menus not just the start screen).

I have no reason to play in Windowed and it looks worse than DX9 in fullscreen.

Meanwhile in other games, much less has been fixed.

I cant invest any more time in this game when its not having decent support because I cant be sure it will work on my next computer or in the next patch, this is pretty sad for me.

Perhaps you could explain why you require software mouse cursor to begin with.
Based on your system specs, there shouldn't be a problem with DX11 fullscreen and hardware mouse cursor (which is already what everyone should be using).

Looking at the video you provided, you should probably adjust the width/height for custom resolution to the fullscreen numbers and try again.

Are you setting to fullscreen or fullscreen window mode? In fullscreen the mouse is trapped to the windows (that's DX functionality and requires specific programming to change. IE. Fullscreen window mode). If it's trapped in FSWin mode, then as someone posted above. Switch to window mode, change to software cursor, then switch to FSWin mode. It works fine for me.

Well my other bug is when I dont use software mouse cursor it wont register clicks. In the video you can hear me mashing Esc because I cant exit at this point, only way is to use alt+tab or the windows key and end the process from task manager.

Fullscreen, If I use borderless then it only goes to 1280x996 or something similar, I reported that too and its accepted for now.

Yes I have 3 bugs all relating to the same thing DX11 in anything but Windowed mode which has a 4th bug where the vertical resolution is incorrect, for example 1080p is really 1440p, I cbf reporting it because its not critical.

Ive tried all different settings in both the UI and in Nvidia control panel.

I can only hope that if they DO plan to address this as would be wise due to UWVGA becoming less rare, that it happens to just solve all these issues in one go.

So if I understand correctly you are playing in Fullscreen because Borderless window mode is borked and you don't like windowed mode (don't blame you on that one). So the issues isn't that mouse won't exit the Fullscreen mode (because DX locks it to the screen automatically), the real issue is that your Borderless window mode doesn't size properly. So in all, you have 2 bugs. One that the hardware mouse doesn't click on the screen (might be a problem on your video drivers ... try updating them if you haven't already) and 2, your borderless querys the windows desktop size and doesn't get the proper resolution. That one is trickier. I could be a code bug in SE's side or it could be a driver problem, or even worse it could be an OS problem. What Videocard, videocard driver and windows version are you currently using?

Im using a 1080GTX, latest drivers as of a few days ago, had tried the ones before that too. Windows 7.

I never had this problem on my previous computer which was 1080p, 600 series card and Windows 7.

Dunno, I haven't had any problems with my GTX980ti or Windows 8.1 or 10. I havent updated my nvidia drivers in awhile tho, and I play borderless windowed with 2 screens.

Its entirely likely that its not a bug in XIV, and instead is a combination of driver issues you have with a new system.
