I can't help but feel that way when they spend like 300-600k on a single pot of dye. Especially when many such rare and expensive dyes are only marginally different colour tone wise to the very cheap non-rare versions.

I'm more surprised that the dyes haven't been used as rewards for potsherds or something yet. But then again, it's in line with SE's general policy - stats are transient, glam is forever.

Black and White dyes are easy to farm if you have more than 2 lvl 60 retainers. On my server, When I'm farming them I flood the market so much people undercut me all the way down to 50k a pop. When I'm not farming for them and a big patch hits, prices soar to 200-300k. Basically all it takes is 5 people with 2 lvl 60 retainers each to price lock the market. (I have 8 lvl 60ilvl 200-210 retainers). I was averaging like 10-20 black & whites each per week doing quick ventures when I remembered to resend them.

I have seen white dye is now at around 300K on Leviathan, it is rather crazy.

Sometimes the particular tones of other gear requires a darker or lighter shade of black to work well though, ahaha. Though as insane as I can be with my money<laziness policy, I can't see myself spending that much on a dye.

On Carbuncle Pure White Dye is only like 10k and Jet Black is about 30k.

Huh.... I could never get into glamour that much. I was always satisfied with the armor they release. I would only ever do it for..... stupid, personal reasons. Anyway I recall one day i used to sell non rare dye for 100k, in the next hour. Always found it funny how fast that went.
