    Slight EU Website Adjustment

I wanted to suggest changing the images used for events for the EU website. Currently, the dates on news items are DAY/MONTH/YEAR, but images are still in the MONTH/DAY/YEAR format:

    (7/25)

For the sake of clarity, it'd be nice if the images could also conform to international format, at least for the European section of the website, instead of the American format.

Meaning the above image would say "From 25.7 to 31.8" instead of what it currently does.

Seconded, it's so weird to read it like that. Likely the reason that they don't is because it is the same banner for the english speaking regions, and the US market is bigger.

It's different for French and German language, indeed. Since they specifically have a "British English" English section though, it doesn't make sense not to create two images which is very low effort to just swap the month and days around to make it easier on the English-speaking European community as well. I mean I get the "US market is bigger" argument, but the part of the world that uses the DAY/MONTH/YEAR format is larger than America, and I imagine benefiting nearly every other country that uses that format is worth the slight investment of creating and uploading two English-language images.

Agree fully. It may even be easier to use the month's standard abbreviated form rather than a number. For example, using 21-May/Mai/Mai-2016 would cover the US, UK, France & Germany (the 'official' non-Japanese languages) & it wouldn't matter if the number or month was shown first as the month is always text rather than numeric.

That's also a good solution, Culfinrandir. We still have immediately clarity on the month, and there'd be no need to create two images for the English-language websites. 8/25 is a bit awkward to read but still obtains clarity, but stuff like 9/11 would be more troublesome, since to Europeans it means 9 November and to Americans it means 11 September... and if every other date not in images is put down as 9/11 for 9 November, 11/9 for 11 September, it gets in the way of clarity quickly.
