We have no concrete information about this yet, true, but it has been implied since the job system was first announced. Jobs are going to REPLACE classes for full party content.
I do recall that design intent comment they made and considering it, I think I can see where the concern is coming from more.

I suppose lately I've treated some of the things they said with grains of salt. Things I thought would happen have been rescheduled, things that I did not foresee, happened.

And so I'm eager to see how these jobs will play. If they are to be significant enough to be more effective in party, so that we're not all equipped with similar skills like Cure or Raise... uh oh Raise...

My threads seem to make me realize the horror of the question I've asked, will White Mage be able to use Raise with reckless abandon, can we use Raise/Resurrect with the job layover, or will we have to abandon jobs to keep Raise on hand to prepare for the inevitable death?
