No, I don't do this in real life. When i enter/leave a bus, I don't say hello/goodbye to all passengers, because it just looks stupid.

By who's standards? Some people are quiet and simply don't want to talk, or have had a bad day and don't want to start a conversation. I don't see anything wrong with that.

Not to open THAT can of worms, but mine happens to be the healers that figure that since they don't have to heal yet, they're run around and jump and just can't sit still in general. The most that behavior contributes is sometimes spawning trash by accident because they ran over a trigger spot.

I prefer to focus fire a specific enemy right away and usually I can have one or two of them down quickly enough. I probably won't change this habit, the drg aoe's are kind of meh in comparison, I've usually found it more efficient to just focus one at a time since I have buffs to maintain (specifically blood of the dragon). It's not that I'm lazy, I just can't really justify wasting TP on aoe when I can take out a single enemy faster in the same amount of TP it takes me to do a palty amount of damage to a group. A dead enemy deals no damage (obviously) and I'd rather focus a single target to do a more noticeable decrease in the amount of damage the tank is taking.

I don't speak in my dungeons for the most part, I don't even say hello. I wait for a protect, throw up my tank stance and then I just start pulling. I tend to just focus on that and I don't generally say anything unless I'm playing with friends or if we have a new player. The only thing I say usually is a single "GG" at the end after we win. I don't feel any obligation or desire to talk to the randoms in my groups that I'm never going to see again.

To be fair - you do not have to work together with the people in the bus. But I'd have a hard time finding a proper RL analogy to duty finder context - there aren't many RL examples where four/five completely foreign people come together, assume set roles in order to fulfill a common goal, then leave and never meet again...for a total of 20 minutes.

While I do say hellos at the start of dungeons, I'd like to point out that it's possible that some people are not used to interacting with people they won't see again IRL. I say hello to neighbors, bus drivers, employees at university/work, cashiers and bartenders, because there's a chance I'll bump into them again multiple times. I don't say hello to people I sit next to in the bus, people waiting at the same bus stop, random passers by on the street, people that sat down near me in the park/beach or people in the same waiting line as me. It's just how it goes where I'm from.

Duty Finder is cross realm and randomized which makes the interaction less like bumping into neighbors and more like bumping into random people living in the same large city, so I don't wonder why some people don't bother with hellos.

There's a lot of behaviors in this game that you can deem as unacceptable lately i've been finding a lot of "Palace of the Dead Ditchers" who get their Arm to +30 then say "vote kick me now I got my weapon" then they sit there and do nothing while we can't advance to the next floor. This is really annoying as I sat in floors 21-30 for 50 minutes because of this guy don't come on your lvl 60 AST, get your shit, and then asked to be vote kicked it happened with a BRD earlier this week who got their last arm upgrade on floor 43. I understand the secondary stats are better for some classes but please when i've been there for almost an hour while you afk and do nothing but grab upgrades then ask to be vote kicked you deserve a report.

"Honest Healers" are another one they just sit there and spam heal the tank at like 80-90% of their HP and don't use a single Divine Seal, Eye for an Eye, Regen etc and don't do anything else. Now before people are quick to jump in I know people have mixed feelings for DPSing as a healer this is my own opinion and thoughts so I don't really care what people say, a healer should help DPS much like tanks help DPS and pop CDs on big pulls. Am I going to ridicule the person or anyone on here for not DPSing? No. But it'd be nice for people to learn/experiment to get comfy with their class so they can excel.

"I only use Darkside on bosses" OK I don't know why this is a thing lately but as a DRK main it's absolutely ridiculous the amount of DRKs that can't keep Darkside up 24/7 and this isn't at like lvl 30 this is max lvl, 50 roulette for my alts, EX trials, Midas Normal, 60+expert roulettes. You have so many ways to conserve, regenerate MP but yet all they do is pop Grit, Abyssal Drain x230923092 with Blood Price and that's it. No Dark Arts (because no Darkside), no tank CDs, and when they do use Darkside finally on the boss their MP usually dips to 0 and it falls off and they never use it again until the next boss. It's such an essential ability for a DRk I wish more DRKs would learn that keeping this up 24/7 makes you a better tank, more DPS, and more CDs that you can use to mitigate damage!

Anyways rant done sorry for the negativity but I just needed to vent DF has been hell lately or left a really bad taste in my mouth.

What people need to do is stop taking it personally if someone is not chatting. In all likelihood it has nothing to do with you as a player or any other player in the group.

Sometimes my boyfriend and I choose to do DF together and we talk back and forth to each other (IRL) about the run or random stuff because we are spending time together as a couple. So we are quiet in the game because we are more focused on doing our jobs well and having fun talking to each other while doing something together we both enjoy. I don't ignore if people ask me something but I am there doing the job I need to do so I don't see why I must always make idle chit chat in random DF groups.

When I am by myself I am still generally quiet in runs unless asked something but I do say o/ or hi when I join DF groups; it doesn't mean I am rude or unkind. I am a pretty neutral amiable person unless people are rude to me. I am just having fun playing my job. Putting down my controller to type just isn't something I do much unless someone directs something at me (or if someone starts harassing anyone in the group I will tell them to stop being rude) or if I choose to join Mentor Roulette then I am ready to type out explanations etc.

I don't hate other people or something I am just having fun in my own way; you can't force people to chat if they don't feel like it. If you try to force them or get offended if people don't then you are just getting irritated about something that in the end doesn't really affect you. It is not like a healer not healing or a tank not tanking. They just don't feel like chatting. You'll still get your run done.

I'm a whm who usually tries to keep stoneskin up on all party members through a run. Its not hard and it doesn't delay the party any if you cast on the tank as the last mob dies.

For any dps who get hit i just replace as and when needed during battle, usually towards the end.

I never expect a group to wait for it. Even protect - if someone runs off and misses initial cast, I will just cast it later mid battle. Its really not a big deal and you don't need to wait for these things between pulls.

Having it on is nice. It gives me more time at the start of a pull to not need to heal immediately so I can Holy spam and stun mobs into oblivion.
