You have an awesome Auto Translate feature too. Use it and be polite. Also when you are first time say it. For the love of god when you don't know something and you need tips just ask for them. Nobody will crucify you or kick you out. I can't read minds and guess who is the first timer when you try to hide it for whatever reason you believe you have to hide it. I can't tell you the combat tactics when I don't know for what job I need to give directions. Just speak.
I'm guilty of this one, but that's because I have no interest in making friends with you. Like I'm sorry, forgive me, but I don't. It's not like we can meet up after the instance and run again. It's roulettes with random people from other servers that I will never ever see again. So if your playing your class/job correctly, I have absolutely no reason to speak to you. Maybe some light chuckle conversation, but otherwise, I just want to get the dungeon over with as swiftly and quickly as possible, and stopping to take time to type can delay the dungeon from being completed faster.

Yep, I'm in the same category. I mean, I do speak when necessary but as long as we get along without fights, I don't really see the need of speaking. Especially when 99% of the people in it I will never meet again.

I die lots when taking the time to chat in FC chat... not a good idea to do that in the duty as well given can't really focus on a rotation. I'll be happy to engage convo though if directed between pulls. Just not a lot to talk about frankly when playing and trying to get stuff done.

Might want to add those white mages, summoners or machinists who constantly push the monsters away from the group. Everytime the cooldown is up WOOSH away from everyone else just because they can. Rather than have Garuda (or carby if arcanist) on obey (I have her on obey mainly for that reason), and push mobs towards the tank or into the crystal light in Darkhold (situation where fluid aura is actually useful). These poeple ignore the fact that they draw monsters away from the tank's reach and also interrupt casters when they have that particular mob targeted and casting a spell. They just spam it everytime it's up, well, because it's up and they wanna look busy doing stuff.

Also I agree completely on the polite thingy. No excuse at all to not say a simple hello at the start of the duty. We are people after all, do you do that in real life too? I don't want to be your friend either, and chances are, we won't meet again. But for that run, please don't be so rude. You guys who do that, don't realize how lonely you make people feel like this. I don't want to marry you, I dont want you to tell me your life story, I dont care if you remain quiet the rest of the run. Just a little hello or /wave. And if you have a bad day, saying hello and being greeted back actually will make you feel better. You will have new temporary friends that will disappear from your life as you click the exit, so you have no responsibility towards them after. Saying hello doesn't tie you to anything. It's basic education towards others.

Kinda remind me of another type of annoying player. The melee on the second boss of the city of Mhach that get the mark for the exploding circle who think his dps is so important he absolutely can't step down for 10 seconds and rather have all the dps move away from the boss to avoid the attack, but at least we got his dps which must totally be over what the 10 other melees would have done if they didn't have to move...

No, I don't do this in real life. When i enter/leave a bus, I don't say hello/goodbye to all passengers, because it just looks stupid.

To be fair - you do not have to work together with the people in the bus. But I'd have a hard time finding a proper RL analogy to duty finder context - there aren't many RL examples where four/five completely foreign people come together, assume set roles in order to fulfill a common goal, then leave and never meet again...for a total of 20 minutes.

TBH, working in a retail business is pretty much running a dungeon. You serve your fellow human being in helping them obtain the items they need once they've entered the shop. You say hello to them when they enter and you say goodbye to them when they're leaving. :P

By who's standards? Some people are quiet and simply don't want to talk, or have had a bad day and don't want to start a conversation. I don't see anything wrong with that.
