    New job teased

Ok I know at the Fest it was teased that he was wearing a scarlet witch shirt everybody is assuming that it's red mage. Scarlet equal red but I feel that was a bit to easy what you guys think? Red Mage might have been a lil to obvious but I feel that square could have just been fucking with use. I feel that it could actually be a Witch job. People were asking for a potion using jobs witches are known to use various potions. Anyways there is a lot of witches lately. For example tv like Salem and even some movies like Harry Potter. Maybe square would do the same for this expansion includ one well known staple class like samurai assuming that's the other job spoiled and two non traditional classes. Heard that Physic was alo mentioned as being a job possibility what is your option on what it could be besides red mage

Yoshi literally wore a Batman and 007 shirt to two fanfests last time, so probably not a stretch. Batman = DRK, 007 = MCH

It's Red Mage. You can theorize about Witch/Chemist/Psychic jobs all you want, but that doesn't make them any more likely to ever be considered for XIV vs more popular jobs from the franchise. Witch and Psychic aren't even recurring FF jobs.

Batman is also called The Dark Knight, hence Yoshi's Batman shirt hint last time. Pretty dang obvious. While the 007 shirt hinted at a job that would use a gun. Don't overthink it. At long last we'll be getting Red Mage.

The problem with your theory is that Red Mage is a very iconic job of the Final Fantasy games. The Rising Event 2015 indicated that their highest priority jobs were Red Mage and Samurai. With those two thoughts in mind, can you imagine the outrage if he wore a shirt that, as you pointed out, is so blatantly obvious to be an indication of Red Mage - and then released "Witch"? Someone would burn the servers down.

Thank god this isn't another Dancer thread, but yes, red mage is very safe bet. Scarlet = Red, Witch = mage. If it's anything else, people will be uninterested. Also a little piece of Yoshi P trivia: before Heavensward was released, an interviewer asked Yoshi what jobs he wanted in the game if he could add anything; his response was that was tied between Red Mage and Machinist.

But think of it like this, they might be wise to the whole look at his shirt thing, and it might be meant to deliberately mislead us. Last fan fest they said prior we will be hinting at the new jobs. Once the jobs were revealed, and more info brought to light, we were able to trace the hints to his shirts. But no references were made this time, we are basing this completely on speculation on our part. We are placing fandom propaganda, the interviews and the info from the rising event, on a pedestal and projecting them onto his shirts, as indications of the new jobs. Basically, would you try to fool people with the same trick? Instead, try looking for hints in other areas.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

Did you actually watch any of the 2014 Fan Fest presentations? The t-shirts were not something that people figured out retrospectively. Yoshi wasn't just wearing the t-shirt for some observant people to make the connection. The t-shirt was made the focus of the presentation with Yoshi winking at the audience, pointing at it and saying marketing was going to be mad at him.

At the 2014 Vegas Fan Fest Yoshi was asked about revealing the new jobs and he said he couldn't because he needed to save them for the other events. He then proceeded to take off his jacket, revealing a batman t-shirt, and told us that he was a "huge fan of the Dark Knight". He then proceeded to keep mentioning the Dark Knight at every opportunity and the whole thing was done in this really obvious way. People knew then and there that we would be getting the Dark Knight job. The EXACT same process was followed for the "man with golden GUN" announcement, with the entire thing being made as explicit as possible without actually saying the name of the job.

Fast forward to the 2016 Fan Fest and Yoshi goes through the exact same process for the Scarlet Witch t-shirt. He revealed the shirt when asked about new jobs. The entire thing is like a giant in-joke where everyone is supposed to know exactly what it means, but Yoshi still gets to make the formal reveal at the next Fan Fest because he never actually said the name.

The t-shirts are supposed to be obvious. People aren't reading too much into anything. People aren't projecting anything. The t-shirts are Yoshi's way of revealing the jobs whilst still being able to pretend he hasn't. It's supposed to act as a tease for the Tokyo Fan Fest where I guarantee Red Mage will be revealed and Yoshi will be wearing yet another t-shirt hinting at the job (or jobs) to be revealed at the EU Fan Fest.

Yoshi isn't trying to fool anyone with a trick. There's no deception at all. He's throwing us a bone to keep us hyped for the next reveal.

I think you missed what I was indicating with my post. I never said he "wasn't" hinting at a new job, I merely stated that after a while the hinting becomes complacent and no longer a thrill. That they might have moved to a different tactic to "throw us a bone". Is he hinting at Red Mage, probably, is it a definate, no. Part of the fun with hinting is switching it up once you know people are wise to the "tricks". Which is why the fanbase went in an uproar over the trailer, "she danced, Dancer comfirmed", "she's wearing red, Red Mage confirmed" that sorta thing.
