@Falmer: Its fine if you liked it ^^ and maybe you got really lucky? One hour per day for this event is only possible if you get at least four medals in a hour otherwise the time would not be enough to finish it. And people already wrote that they got like 3 medals in three hours so no depending on your luck 1 hour per day is not enough. And maybe someone can only play two hours a day or even only three days a week so they will have quite the problem to finish this event. (Lets not forget that there is more content than that ingame some might not want to use all of their play time to get the medals especially if they wont get one)

It would still be kinda bad if this was without a time limit but making it such a grind as a one time event with only a limited time too is not nice.

The part about 222 fates is free was probably sarcastic and an answer to your sentence how it would be free if we get one for certain. Even if they made the legendaries a 100% drop would still mean that you have to do 222 fates which should be way enough for a event. (Where its nothing but glamour as prices..not even end game weapons or something) Heck I even found the 80 items for the anima weapons much more enjoyable than this event because we had more ways to gain those items..(and thats says a lot since I did not like it that much too)

He does not generalize the whole community he is, like you, only stating his opinion and in hope of stopping those people that visit such threads only to post all these standard answers he put on this disclaimer and even took his time to answer each of these with his own arguments so he did defend his stance.

Its really nice if you liked it and that you bought Yokai watch and its not wrong to like it but its also not wrong to dislike it.

Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
