"I wasn't in a particular rush, but I liked it so I kept doing it." "wanted a drop every fate. Yawn. That would have been even more boring." Your words not mine. I have been attempting to grind a bit daily, I'm irritated that I'm spending a few hours grinding alone and I only end up with 6 medals. That's an entire month just for one character, god forbid if you have an alt or two, if you don't find spending a month per character getting glamour items tedious and a bit ridiculous I'm pretty sure you're in the minority here. Plus as some folks have reported, some folks just saw the high number of fates and were just "Eff this event I have better wastes of time" or some are even using bots apparently. When we get to that sorta situation, I'm pretty sure the problem isn't me (Especially when I'm pretty sure I'm offering a still kinda lengthy grind as a compromise.)
That's the thing, comparably speaking you're spending nearly ten times the amount of effort to get all those weapons and last mount and you can't even do anything with the spare 700 or so medals. This event is just badly designed and meant to be a slow and annoying drag for the next two months for whatever reason. I still have yet to see why for whatever reason 222 isn't considered enough effort.
Yeah, it's like outside of the initial references to the game/anime in the first quest and that was pretty cute! Then it's basically "Time to grind for who knows how long! Hope you're not sick of seeing these things by the end of it". I mean, even thematic fates would've helped a whole lot, like the few we've got for Easter for the past few years or the questline/fates featured for the FFXI crossover, those were interesting enough.
It depends on how much time you spend per day grinding, but basically yeah, raw math puts that at about two months lol.
