IDK, USApyon took me 161 fates alone (30 tokens). Komasan took about 100 (I was keeping exact track at one point, but at around 90 I gave up). That was pretty grindy.
EDIT: I mean it wasn't og Maplestory grindy, I guess. Not that that makes it acceptable.

why should an event be grindy? relic weapon although not as grindy as other MMOs (unless they change the way progression works in this game they will never be on par with the grindiest of MMO grinds. but I digress)it is still considered grindy compared to most of the other things in this game. I am not opposed to making things difficult or hard to obtain so long as it serves a reason to as hard/grindy as it is. grinding for a powerful weapon, ok sounds good. challenging yourself as a player and take on end game raiding to get which at the time it is implemented the best gear fair enough, but this is an event we are talking about. not some super powerful weapon or armor that is the best in the game. what purpose does extending the time it takes to complete this event serve? i can't think of a single good reason to make it brain dead boring the event is. even is the event was reduced to having one legendary medal for each fate completed it would still be lazily done. the only reason i can see it being shoved into fates (for it is always fates) is to make the game look more populated then it already is.
P.S I would like to restate that i am not looking for "instant gratification" poor design is poor design.

I have said and will continue to say that it's not that I have to put effort into getting the stuff, I will also say again that the event could have been made longer and I would be ok with it. I will again say that my big issue with the event is that it does not feel like an event. I don't mind putting effort into getting things. but you yourself said that the event is boring. which is what I am complaining about. i on;y mention the grind because it does feel needlessly prolonged.
