I am moving this thread from In-Game Bugs to Technical Support since you are having sound and lag issues. I apologize for any inconvenience that has been causing but hopefully it will be resolved soon enough!

We apologize for any frustration, however if you wish to provide feedback on the game, it should be done through the appropriate channels, through the SQUARE ENIX Support Center. Since this is not a technical issue, this thread has been closed.

Now this is when I got angry...Moved my thread to technical support to have it closed by someone else saying its not a technical support issue... Where should I go for actual help then? Submit feedback saying I can't play the game?? I still suffer from this issue with absolutely no help, therefore I am still unable to play this game..

Yeah I went and read your thread. It was obviously a technical issue which could use some help from knowledgeable people. More info, more discussion, and more analysis might help narrow it down to find the cause and solve it eventually. It is by no mean looking like a feedback thread, honestly.

I think the first GM said it was lag issue because you stated that you got DC sign on your head too.

I've done everything under the sun to fix the issue myself... I'm not dropping packets from the server. I tried lowering graphics, I tried windowed vs windows. I tried reinstalling the game, i tried hooking directly into the modem. I uninstalled my antivirus I reinstalled my network and sound drivers. And they have done nothing but either close threads or ask for peoples PC specs..

This issue doesn't happen in town but if i go to run out of town that is when it starts. And of course this issue started post 1.19

What is your computer specs? ram,video card, cpu?

This is a common problem, especially among people with Cox Communications as their ISP. What you're seeing is S-E's standard customer service response that many of us have been familiar with since FFXI. What they basically do is put their fingers in their ears and pretend there's nothing wrong. The problem mainly stems from the American team's inability to do anything without prior approval from the main Japanese branch. This leads to a very bureaucratic approach to customer service where they don't really have any power to do anything but are unable to tell you that fact. I fortunately have been uneffected by this recent lag problem, but my friend has been unable to play at all since 1.19a. All I can tell you is good luck, I really do hope that S-E fixes this problem, but given their prior track record, the outlook is bleak.

So Fraus, just for shits and giggles, did you see the post about lag and the request to run tracert? Why not post that info here as well? Oh, you're probs smart enough to do this but others were not so I'll mention it here, please don't forget to black out your ISP's IP address assigned to you. Why the hell people post that crap is beyond me; mine as well hand someone your personal info why you're at it lol.

It has nothing to do with my pc Zen wasn't trying to be rude.. This is a connection problem with the server or the game not my pc or my connection because I have no connection issues with anything else or any other games just ffxiv. and it has been only after the recent patch before i did not have any d/c symbol every had hardly any disconnects

See i don't understand how some people have this issue and some don't even if you on a diff server i have friends who have the same issue and there in my world so i don't understand what could be the issue.

maybe it get fix for you next month.
