Leveling Dungeons - Can we get a minimum ilvl?

We get synced down for dungeons but I have ran across players with gear that's so low, the players can't do their job. Example: running Dzamael (lvl44) and the healer is wearing the Acolyte gear and it's not glamour. I main as BLM so I had to heal a portion because the healer had low gear and ( I forgot to mention no accessories except for the glorious Friendship Ring), my Physick was better.

Solution - make an item level requirement to queue for the leveling dungeons.

    I'm inclined to agree.

Just keep it lenient - the point is to make sure it can be completed, not to make sure a speedrun is possible.

I'm not sure if that would really solve the issue, since a person can end up in a dungeon via leveling roulette and not be geared for the dungeon they get (the ilvl for leveling roulette must be the one for Sastsha after all)

That being said I do agree that this is an issue that needs some sort of a solution. This game is giving you pretty bad feedback on how you should gear up (...and how to play your class aswell...). I'd really like some sort of warning message for people not having proper gear, aswell as a good guide for them HOW to get gear. Some might be believe the only source are dungeons and just suppose they're being unlucky and that its fine to run around half naked.

Beside from euqiping gear there also has to be some guide in place telling them what kind of gear they should choose - I've seen so many melees running around with int-accessories, healers with strength, tanks with mind... Some might do their own research but apparently a lot dont, dont know how to get gear etc. etc.

What I'm saying is: Instead of blocking people from playing, give them better feedback and guidance. That shouldnt have to come only from us players. The game should "forcefully" tell you to gear the fuck up and tell you how to get your gear - NPC-vendors, marketboard, etc. We get one quest thats forcing you to gear up... after that... never again... Let checkboxes or something like that pop open when a player reaches certain levels - like 25, 30, 25, 45, 50... - that tell them "Hey, your ilvl should match your chara-level, check it out! If it doesnt: Go here -insert location of vendor for that level- or visit the marketboard in one of the cities to get better gear!" I feel making it easier for people to figure out that they should have to gear up and also how/where to do it would be better than just blocking them from dungeons

    Two possible solutions:
    - Dynamically adjust the required iLvL for the roulette
    - Simply do not put these players into dungeons they are not ready for

The latter is already a thing in trial roulette as far as I know - if you do not meet the requirements for Nidhogg, you should not get it. It certainly works with level restrictions at least.

That aside, I do question the necessity of a detailed guide - and more importantly, I do question even mentioning the market board as option. My apologies, but on my server, just about every market board item is overpriced and if a newbie tried to keep him/herself geared with it, s/he'd have to do the MSQ entirely by foot, because s/he'd be perma-broke and couldn't afford the TPs.

The game should get rid of ilvl and have content gated by your main stat. Ilvls are too easy to bypass, unless no one has ever seen a bard with full vit accessories just to meet the minimum ilvl in harder content. If you have, that was probably me.

Also, I'd say its honestly more important for tanks versus healers since many tanks dont even bother popping their mitigation cooldowns while leveling.
