2016 Fan Fest Costume Submission Email Confirmation?

I can't wait to see your costume. I haven't done any real big cosplay products for years, and it's been fun getting into it again. my sis is in the same boat as me... both working hard on more of the random pieces of our costumes, and not the actual main parts yet(losing some last bit of weight before hand) she's doing y"shtola, and I'm doing Yda with a lifesize Papalymo. I've got more done for Papalymo than Yda. Still we're working hard and can't wait for the fanfest. It's going to be fun to see all the fans, and cosplay.

Aww, that's awesome! It's great that you'll be keeping the 'duo' together. If it makes you feel any better, most of the people I've personally spoken to about their costumes are basically in the same boat we are... lots of pieces that are almost done, but nothing really completed because we didn't realize we would have to show anyone!

curious thought.... if it was really first come first serve, would they post on the page, or here in the forums when all the slots have been taken. I mean giving us until the end of august is quiet awhile to fill up spots that way.

still since my progress pics are probably less than impressive (only listed 25% done) I should hope for first come first serve since I don't have anything to much that screams hey pick me for the contest yet.

That is exactly what we are all wondering and why it isn't clear. Why have a time frame if there is a slot limit? Why make us wait, if it is first come first serve? Why not just let us know if we made it in, on time? And finally, are we being judged at all right now? I am with you on the percentile as well.

Submitted my entry with only a handful of cards and fabric to show. It's a really odd submission process and I hope that people don't get shafted if they submit late if people submitted quick WIPs for the sake of submitting.

Glad the facebook link was posted so anyone who's trying to do the contest can come talk about their costumes if they want. I can't wait until the fanfest so as to see all the great costumes, and meet those who are working so hard to get their finished in time.
