Tattoo on the back for all players?

So i was wondering Legacy players have a Tattoo on there back showing there legacy status from 1.0 etc.

What if there was a Veteran Tattoo thats tied to the Veteran Reward status or some other kind of system that counts how long you have been playing the game.

The idea here is that everyone gets a tattoo on there back that can be turned on or off like the legacy tattoos and the longer you play the more progress you see in the tattoo and that it will change and evolve in a way.

Anyone for this cause i definitely am :P

Wouldn't that kind of defeat the point of Legacy players having one though? They would have to be really different from those ones, in which case I'd support.

Yea i dont mean like that everyone gets a legacy tattoo but a different one that changes shape or gets a bit more added to it the more sub time you have.
like some kind of tribal tattoo like you start with a small tribal tattoo and the more sub time you have the more the tattoo grows around that lil tribal tattoo that you get at the start which is showing your veteran status.

For Legacy players this could mean that they could get some extra flair to there legacy tattoo or that the Veteran status is just going to be its own entirely different tattoo on its own, since there is an option to turn on of the Legacy tattoo legacy players should get the option to switch between them or even combine them entirely showing the legacy tattoo with the Veteran tattoo combined

I'm honestly against anything that encroaches on the 1.0 rewards, the tattoo is a reward to 1.0 players for subscribing through a dark time in the game, and is almost an apology from the developers, and a thank you for subscribing so long.

We already have Vet rewards based on game time, and as 2.0 onwards was enjoyable and relatively unchanged (not to the extent of 1.0), I don't think we deserve rewards like that. I know what you are suggesting is a unique reward, but it would devalue the 1.0 tattoo by making an equivilent reward for all players.

(btw I'm a 2.0 player, I don't have the tattoo)

I thought the reward for subscribing through a dark time in the game was the Developers nixing the subscription fee for the last few months of 1.0, and then making the game awesome with 2.0? The back tattoo seems like a nice nod more than anything else. Personally I'd rather it was made available to all players. I've seen it sort of become a status symbol at times, segregating the community, which isn't a good or healthy thing at all.

I don't see why they fuss about it either to be honest. Therefore they should make it available. Personally I rather like the idea of an optionally displayed tattoo linked to the Veteran Rewards that grows more detailed the longer the player stays subscribed.

It should remain for characters that survived the calamity only. The brand applies to all 1.0 characters, it does not require the legacy status that the other rewards require. Only that the character existed in 1.0.

By fuss I do mean both ways. The legacy players, and non-legacy players.

The difference being it's not something that is unobtainable. Just because I haven't been subbed long enough to get the Cloud Strife Outfit, doesn't mean I can't be subscribed long enough to get it. You've a point, it's a status symbol to a degree, but its not exclusive. It's something someone can work towards. Exclusivity engenders segregation.
