What is wrong with Mike Hunt and the Chimpo one? I may be overlooking it but I don't see the bad in those. >_<Probably depends on the name. There are probably more times where someone's doing it to be a smart-ass than they are being genuine to their real name.

You know what you're doing. You can have your laugh and know someday, you're gonna get reported, and a GM or some such could offer you the name change.
Keith Dragoon - Ambassador of Artz and Adorable

Mike Hunt could be pronounced My C*nt.
But I can't decipher Chimpo One either.
Gonna wait for the answer with you. XD
OK, slowly making my progress in replying to everyone.
Here goes;
I’m not upset but it’s disturbing to a degree. But you’re right, his name is not interfering with my gameplay. If I saw someone with an inapprioriate name, i'd say to myself, how does this affect me? Oh wait, it doesn't. I'd ignore it and keep playing. There's thousands of people playing, if it bothers you that much, just don't play with them. I see names which might be considered "inappropriate" a handful of times, and I say to myself "eh, to each their own." Is there really a need to be so uptight about what other people do, so long as it's not hurting anyone?
You are right, avoiding them sounds like a good solution. Thank you.I have to admit, I've seen some pretty funny names out there. Most of the time though, it effects them more so then me. I pretty much 90% of the time make my own groups. If your name is Dookie Poo, Big Olanus or Warcraft Cataclysm you're probably not going to EVER get an invite to anything that I'm involved with. In truth before this person speaks a word blacklist them.
If someone is going to name there character something immature, or trollish, it's obvious the person behind the character is probably young and not worth my time.
I thought it was quite an interesting case. It was controversial enough within my brain alone, so I thought I might get various kinds of responses from the public. I also like to hear opinions to broaden my view and perspective. Because sometimes, even when we people think we made a decision carefully, or judge something with all accurate information, or are being in the right, someone or something might still change our mind or alter the action we would take.
It’s like when, hypothetically, I think someone offends me in real life and I feel the urge to punch his face, but think I would feel guilty for doing so. Then, I would try to seek second opinion from a friend who’s standing right next to me. Maybe he would say, hey he didn’t mean that. Or maybe he would say, you’re overreacting, calm down. Then I can be like, oh, I see, I misinterpreted it, and then walk off without punching the poor guy who didn’t mean any harm.
Sounds cool. Thank you for the answer.
Sounds fair. Thank you for sharing.
I also feel this way too. Explicitness does count in my eyes.
People are sensitive to different things. It wouldn’t be fair of me to say someone is a crybaby for getting bothered by people who made generalization about Americans being those who report every little thing. Right? To each their own. People tolerate different things to different degrees.

My last reply for tonight. Going to bed.![]()
Talk to you again tomorrow (or day after tomorrow).
ispano had pretty much said what I feel. One thing to add, if you think name like “Muthfecka Dickhead” is funny and is laughable, then good for you. But sad to say, I do not share the same humour with you. However, I am unable to confirm whether the name was meant to mean that way or not.and some people are too stuck up in their own little world to learn how to take a joke and laugh about something. omg..... i heard a joke at work let me go report them all to get them fired.
sometimes people need to get their noses out of other people's business and this is just one of those instances. if it was not a racial slur or profanity laced i look at the name, laugh to myself, and move on.
As for your jokes at work example, it’s fine if people find entertainment and fun from jokes. They have their rights to have fun. However, supposed their fun is not just being entertaining to themselves but being unpleasant to me, or is ruining my fun, or invading my peace, do I not have the rights to do something? Jokes are good. But it should be done or told at appropriate time, in appropriate place, and, of course, for maximum effectiveness of the jokes, to appropriate audience.
I am not saying the guy’s name is violating my rights, because he hasn’t been nagging me. He passed into my awareness just twice, both by the mentioning from my LS friends. We probably won’t run into each other. So you can rest assured I won’t be trying to get him fired.
You are right, but in my case it’s slightly different. I don’t take game seriously, I play it to relax. If some profanity – for example – from other people in the game would bother me, it’s not going to be because I take game seriously, but because I feel my relax time is invaded by unpleasant something. So if someone chooses to spend what little time they may have for entertainment, playing a game, they should treat that time non-seriously? Because that's basically what you're saying. Not everyone is entertained the same way you are. Someone may take the game seriously because they have very little time, and you telling them to not do so is just as demeaning to them as you being told to be serious about something in said game.
One good thing is that the said person hasn’t been around me yet, which I hope it would remain so. I don’t want my finger to get itched again.
Well said. I agree with you, wholeheartedly. Especially those bold text, they speak my mind out loud. Thank you.Ever heard of jokes some people laugh at but others do not? What's funny to one or some, may not be funny to others. Don't assume anything someone does with an intent to be funny, is automatically funny to everyone. You don't have to agree with someone on whether it's funny or not, but you should at least understand why they don't. Heard a joke at work... what kind of joke? People that say "learn to take a joke" are basically trying to push their opinions on others.
And it's not just his Business, his name is displayed publicly in game, and if it also violates the rules, it should be reported. If you choose not to report it, no problem, but don't berate those who would.
Wait, I am confused. So would you report or not report?….
as long as what you are doing is not insulting, racist, or sexist i have no issue with it.
if your name calls out any person, race, or sex then yes it should be reported, but otherwise it is taking that too far. [b]this is not a game for 13 year old kids like wow and even states it in the tos.[b/]
i'm not stating that you should either take the joke and live with it. all i am saying is unless that person is doing anything rude or disrespectful towards me or anyone else them i am not going to go play hall monitor and report someone for something like that. if you don't like someone's name treat it the same if you just don't like their personality and just don't play with them.
Also, since I didn’t state clearly what the person name was, I’d like ask you whether this name “Muthfecka Dickhead” would fall into your category of what should be reported or not. Please treat this question as another instance, not the same one in my OP. Because the person I mentioned in my OP does not have this exact name.
Also, by ToS and age, did you mean this;

And this;Avoid using vulgar, hateful or antisocial terms as a name or first/last name combination. If your name is found to be in violation of the Terms of Service, action may be taken against your account.

Bignick Diggers especially.

names like Obiwon Kinblomee are inappropriate and should be banned/forced to change also names like Meatpopsicle shouldnt be allowed. Its every players duty to report such names. Lets keep as much stupid and immaturity outa the game as possible please folks.

lmao... really? its the Internet, grow up.
There is no growing up to be done, no one is ranting and raving when they see a name they don't like. I see a name roll my eyes at it's childishness and report it, then move on. I don't call the person out, or start yelling at them. I just report and move on.

This is the intarwebs, if you want to be the cyber police go for it. Everyone else will just lol and go on.
oh dont even start that crap, I do on the Internet what I would do in real life, I see kids vandalizing something, I call the cops, I see someone snooping around where they should not, I call the cops, you try and rob the store I am working at, you better hope you dont miss me...........this is pretty much the same thing.
The problem with people today, is that when they see something, they don't want to get involved, and that is how criminals get away with crap most of the time.
basically.... I don't put up with crap.
