Just began playing XIV this year so I haven't experienced any of the previous anniversary events. Are there typically in-game things to do and are they worth it?
Thanks!

Oh yes. Last year's was an event that took the idea of a dev room easter egg that had the crew giving heartfelt thank yous to us players.
My fav was the guy riding the backwards horse complaining about Atma drops. Good times.

I recommend watching this video, just to give you an idea. They did that last year, thanking all the playerbase for supporting the game and giving us a little insight to the behind the scenes through recreating the FFXIV dev team in game.
Could've swore XIV was older than 3 years. Guess 1.0 never happened.
Thanks for the info everyone. I will check out the link after work.

I remember in XI they did the player appreciation stuff which was pretty cool so I look forward to this. Kind of wish they did the Moogle Bonanza thing but I understand that Jumbo Cacpot sort of serves to replace that in a way.

lolno. It had its moments, but there was way less to do and most of it involved burning millions on overmelds and speedrunning the 2 dungeons that existed for darklight gear. there were only 3 primals as well.
