It took me 788 fates, which, from what others have reported, is about average, so I don't know why you think I was particularly lucky with rng.

Yes, if everyone left, the fate wouldn't complete. but this just doesn't happen. if it did happen consistently, then obviously I would need to adapt my approach, and solo the fate myself. but it doesn't.

Okay so I finished with 617 fates. Probably would have been an even 600 but there were several times where I forgot to re summon my minion after dying.

Also after I got my last badge I stayed to help my group finish off a 2 part fate chain and got another badge drop ( so I ended with 31/30 for the last weapon.) Of course RNGessus wants to bless us when we don't need it anymore.

It took me 720 for all the weapons. I did all the minions first before I started the weapons.

Nope not worth the effort . Disappointing to say the least. It glows big deal. They could of at least had each of the minions rotate every time you summoned it.
Have an ounce of imagination. A 2 year old could have designed it better.

Did you do the 72 without any minions out?
You can start the fate-chain with a minion out right away for legendary farming, since you can buy one as soon as you're done the initial quest.

Don't really get what you mean.
I was referring to the person who stated how many fates it took them to complete the event by screenshotting how many medals they had in their inventory at the end... and just pointing out, don't forget they also handed in 72 for minions...
