I am similarly torn with a "must have/do all the things" mentality. I can very nearly convince myself not to even start the quest. But then I think, maybe I would be ok with the minions at least...

There's just so little that's appealing about this, I think I can manage to not go through with it.

The Garleans will be panicking when they see us charging into Ala Mhigo on this.

It may be a fun event for some, but talk about off script.
Might be difficult for the future story mode when their surrounded by something out of a kids fairground ride.

Maybe we can bluff it out with the Garleans and say it's new Magitek?

Would they be any more threatened when we come at them on flying turtles, overweight chocobos/moogles or laying on top of puffy dandelion mounts? If anything the fact is looks so silly is why I love it so much and charging at the Garleans on it would be hilarious and that alone would of made it worth adding to the game.

I like it too because it's really small which makes it easy to click on and interact with NPC's/objects while mounted. Initially prior to the event I was not keen on it but I have since changed my mind. I also like it because it feels quick and nippy due to it's very small size which is a perception thing much like if standing on a deck of a cruise liner it feels like your moving slower than if were on a speedboat even if both were going the same speed.

The weapon skins aren't even worth the time let alone a copy/paste mount that glows.

I disagree, I happen to like the machinist gun from this event as it reminds me of PSO and/or Star Ocean.

Nope not worth the effort . Disappointing to say the least. It glows big deal. They could of at least had each of the minions rotate every time you summoned it.
Have an ounce of imagination. A 2 year old could have designed it better.

Seems to me this was a rushed project .

You have tons of time to do this (I am working on weapon #9 right now, but that's cuz I'm actually having fun and leveling alt jobs that usually get ignored) so it's not like you HAVE to grind all 700 fates in a week. You have more than 2 months.
