Thread: Where do we go from here? (3.4+ Speculation)

Now that Nidhogg's been dealt with for good and Ishgard's back in the fold with the Alliance, where will SE be prepping us to go as we approach 4.0?

It will likely be focusing back on the Ascians and Warriors of Darkness. Future events will likely put us in Ala Mhigo.

This topic might be better in the lore section if you are only referring to the game's story only.

Majority of Doma remains intact and under garlean control.

Only a handful of Ninja villages were destroyed to be made a example of for rebelling but the Major Cities and towns remain intact.

It was, but Othard (the continent it is in) is a possible place to visit at least.

I am almost certain 3.4 will bridge us into Ala Mhigo. My guess is the story will shift to Yiguri and we may finally see Yda and Papalymo again.

Right now all fingers seem to be pointing towards Ala Mhigo and trying to get the Empire out of it. I am interested to see what will find out about the Warriors of Darkness since we don't know much about them other than that they work for the Acsians.

Yoshi-P did mentioned making a decision if Heavensward should have a sky or sea theme. Of course, sky was picked.
I'm not sure if this time the next expansion will be a sea theme because Gyr Abania (assuming that 4.0 is all about Ala Mhigo) and the surrounding areas are highland areas so I doubt there would be seas there unless they make us journey overseas. Maybe the tiny islands in Vylbrand or somewhere outside Eorzea (possibly Thavnair, Old World; Sharlayan motherland, Othard, Ilsabard? etc).
