    To the OP (and lack of reading posts between.)
    I level VERY slowly, but play every day.
    I don;t have to get a PT, by the time one forms, I would have to get off the game.
    I'm on, off, on, off, constantly.
    It took me from 1.19 to now, just to get from 15-25 in 1 class.
    Which, compared to how I normally play MMOs, this is really slow. But it's ok.
    The real problem lies in the manner you can level faster than that.
    EXP groups.
    If you raise the exp Needed, It just makes casuals unable to really ever play anything.
    If you lower the exp gained from PTs, this helps, but no matter what, will always be faster. (And should be, otherwise what is the point?)

    As for the claiming system, I'm sort of ok with it, but something needs altered.
    It's kinda wonky.
    The times I think it isn;t ok, is when you aggro 1 enemy in a group, and all of them are claimed (but some times this never happens)
    If all are claimed, this makes PLing even easier/faster. (CNJ AoE spam)
    For NMs, I think it's fine, but outside, I think they should be hit 1st.

    And honestly, a PL who only heals a group, is JUST as effective as a PL who kills for you.
    Groups kill enemies so fast, with a PL, that you wait on respawns.
    But in a good group, who are trying, you kill the last enemy as the 1st repop, so in short, it takes the SAME amount of time.

    In the scenarios where you see differently, you most likely had ppl leeching off the group with gimped gear, lack of effort, having bad combination of class/abilities etc. (to which a PL obviously makes better.)

    But if you simply give me a PL who heals, while having a group who actually tries, then I wouldn't see any real difference. (maybe within a difference of 1-5% more exp, based on situational problems that arise.)

    PLing is a bit of an exaggeration, BUT I do agree it IS the lazy way of doing things, and can prevent some players from getting the proper experience needed to play their class in groups, before endgame content.

    Powerleveling pre 1.19 still exists to a extent, hell you can even have a full 8 man party with the PL outside.

    Grab a bunch of rank "Whatevers" and a rank 50 character. Find some raptors that will agro the rank 50, as long as one character can survive a few hits have them pull hate by curing the rank 50 character.

    Boom your party has claimed the raptors, let the rank 50 do his work and rinse/repeat.

    this is true, and its a lazy way to level, but since most camps dont have the super respawn speed, and a party can kill really fast without any help, it basically is almost the same speed as a party.

    It shines for small groups though

    Well i am happy to see the response on the pl situation, but yes it will always exist, players always find a way to manipulate the system for an easier gain i don't mind the 10 level gap thing at all i think that was a step in the right direction but, i wish they could get rid of the out side help pl stuff but, meh!? not really a huge deal, is pl a problem to me yes but, one that i have an solution for, no. So about the claiming system if they are gonna allow people to help they should at least give us an option if we are the first one to claim to not allow people to help. /blockaid anyone? for those that don't know /blockaid was used in ffxi so that no one outside you party/alliance could cure or do any beneficial stats to you party? this could be implemented and it would solve future problems to come. Trust me maybe they haven't came yet or you never seen them but this is an MMORPG and people are competitive maybe not to this extreme yet but it will come to that and we need something like this in place before it happens.

    yes, sp is way too fast now. i know one person that's picked up close to 8mil sp doing only battle class in the last 2 patches.

    I agree with the loot system needing work but the claiming systems is not fine unless they add a /blockaid system into effect that will not allow other to touch a mob that you already engaged. Helping is fine if the people want to be helped but it can also through shit way out of wack and cause things that didn't need to happen happen.

    Low to Mid level exp has gotten harder due to being less party friendly and more solo heavy. While Mid to High level exp has gotten easier due to more parties being formed.

    It took me like 3-4 days to get 30-50 which seems pretty decent compared to most others who have done tons faster even before 1.19.
