brief and to the point i like it thank you for the post! my response to this would be seeing how their is hardly any endgame what the rush spread the exp out but also it's not so much what the devs want it's what the players want so i am just trying to see most people take on it. On the third topic yeah no has did what i suggested could be done on the buffalo but i bet no one thought the first time if happen that this other ls is gonna spam cure us if we don't put block aid on and wipe our whole pt on fafnir/nidhogg while standing on his tail causing him to tail spike ^^

I also think that if you get PL'd all the way to 50 then you really don't know how to play your job because you really don't know what your ability/job is capable of or what they do.

Stupidest thing I've heard in my life.

Killing mobs over and over does not train you for any endgame content at all, you can go through your skill list to learn read them and you know what they do, can spend 10 mins in a pt to get a feel of whats best or ask someone and bam you've learnt the job

End of the day each class turns down to "1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9" ...

You'd be surprised people who level normally sometimes dont even learn their job, or know what they are doing, and wear the wrong gear, use the wrong stats and continue to use the wrong weapon skill and shared class skills.

It has absolute nothing to do with how you levelled, its how dumb the person is in the end, and if that person lacks common sense then no matter how you levelled, he will be crap at their class at the end of the day.

I PL'd my lancer and I do far better than the rest who didnt PL in a PT i was in the other day. Most of them had the same view as you "You cant learn your job from PLing!" yet they died, didnt out parse me, and ended up getting very mad lolz.

Yes i agree common sense is a big part of just knowing how to play i admit just quoting if you know how to play it's not a big deal really except that it is lazy way to level but, at the end of the day if you know what your doing then you know what your doing, but those that don't can sometimes learn over the time of pting and yet still some don't know their job like they should when they get 50, yes like you said it takes some common sense but pling those type of people don't make it any better just so the rest of us have to deal with them, but that wasn't my big concern of the topic of pling too much anyways it was when a regular pt has to not use a camp because they are to lazy to go level at the own level and just want to be pl'd off higher mobs

And so I ask, why be concerned about those who cannot be bothered to learn?

I did 1-50 on conjurer to get a feel of the game itself and did it legit (not even leve boosting back then). A lot of what i learned is redundant now due to the 12 million battle changes and class changes and changes to come such as likely conjurer/thaum will get its skills swapped so skills I learnt on conj be gone and its all just become pointless really.

All I say is, PL most of the boring levels, but PT at least a few to get used to the class. 1 nights worth of PTing and you can get a feel of what skills to use and such. It only takes 1 PT worth.

If they cant be bothered to do that, dont be concerned with it =)

If someone joins your group/PT and is rubbish, and you ask "Did you PL" and they say "Yeh", they are not rubbish because of PLing, they are rubbish because they're an idiotic moron that cannot comprehend a bit of reading and common sense.

The problem I have isnt the pl'ing per say, even though Ithink pl'ing is dumb,boring, lazy and we' w/e
My problem is with the claim system. DO you guys have any idea how easy it is to steal a NM or any mob for that matter from a DoM when they first claim it? a cpl provokes, warmonger and cures and you can take any mob away from a DoM trust me i know. once u get full agro kite it away from its spawn it turns yellow then red and bam you have a nicely claimed nm.

1. EXP is fine as it is. Sure you can level pretty quickly but this game is built around leveling multiple (or all) classes, especially where combat is concerned.

2. There will always be some way to powerlevel. I'd rather they keep it how it is now then over-fix it and end up hurting legit players. And as far as the knowing how to play your job issue goes, there are people who hit 50 "legitimately" who don't know how to play their class. Terrible players will always exist, powerleveling or not. Also, at least in my experience, people tend to start grinding in parties at 40 in the strongholds. These kinds of parties give players the experience they need for playing their class. Most content prior to that doesn't require much knowledge of how to play ones class properly.

3. The new claiming system is awesome, it fixed a lot of problems we had previously. When the party size was knocked down from 15 to 8, a lot of people complained they couldn't do things with large groups. Now you can. The previous claim system didn't allow people to gain SP for monsters that weren't claimed, and you could only claim a single group at a time. That was awful, the new system is great.

And if your solo your just screwed? but yea accomplice doesnt burn through 2 vokes, warmonge and cures.... lol by the time accomplice is ready again so is voke more heals so on.

Wonder if spend hours upon hours stealin nms and mobs from ppl ( since with the new claim system it is perfectly legit right?) maybe just maybe i'll get enough people bitching about it and SE might fix it.
