Getting Stuck While Gathering

As the title says, when ever I try to gather on either Miner or Botanist, my character tends to get stuck either after or before gathering from a node. I can move around in the same spot, target anything within range, and teleport, but cant move or dismount if im mounted. Bug or a feature that I've overlooked?

I've never had that happen.

Possibly lag. Some actions require server responses to activate and others don't. I've seen mount problems right before being disconnected.

If you clicked on a node and the selection screen comes up then it is normal, you cannot do anything else until you complete your gathering or exit out of the selection screen.

If it is happening before the selection screen comes up or the selection screen not going away after the last attempt then it is lag or a bug causing you issues.

I've had this happen when gathering those petrified logs for the moogle tribe. I had to teleport back in order to move.

More likely a bug if you've the situation explained by Bixillarla (the gathering dialogue is closed). You may need to do a full reinstall to see if that fixes it. A little fault in a file can cause issues like this which only affect something specific but don't break the game.
