"Head of the Class" quest bug

During the Leatherworker quest 'Head of the Class', speaking to Maddeline npc in the Leatherworker's guild makes the character freeze not being able to continue and being forced to shutdown client and start it up again. It is possible to still view and use chat log - but it won't allow the char. to move or to use any menus - also no npc dialogue appears.

Tried zoning and trying multiple times but still freezes.

I am having the exact same problem - but in addition to the game completely freezing the recipe Maddeline gives me is for Toadskin Armguards... but shes asking for 5 Toadskin Jackets... I've basically wasted a ton of mats already trying to figure out what she really wants hoping it would solve the freeze but no.

So not only is she broken, but the Journal text is completely wrong as well.

Hello ^^. I've heard from other players that if you complete the synth of the items that Maddeline quests then the game will not freeze so you may wish to try this. Also, if a Toadskin Jacket is what you have to synth, then here is the recepie as listed on FFXIVPro: Toad Leather (x2), Aldgoat Leather (x1), Diremite Sinew (x1), Earth Shard (x6), and Wind Shard (x3). Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tips Kai, however it didn't stop the freezing - created the 5 toadskin jackets but it still froze.

Steps:
1. Npc will freeze my char. without any dialogue showing up (can still view and interact in /linshell chat, /tells etc.)
2. Journal information given for the synths is incorrect
3. Will not let me create the synths through the "Requested Synthesis" option
4. Tried creating the 5 Toadskin Jackets it requested in the journal log and talking to the NPC again, however my char. still froze.
5. tried zoning and talking to the npc multiple times but it still won't work.
