    Someone has to say it...

I really don't care that people will hate me or put hate comments here but this is something i have been holding inside everytime i come to the forums to check for any interesting topics.

    Ok to the main point.

Will you all stop using the forums to spread your hate on the content that is added to the game? I mean it... everytime there is a update to the game with more content, no matter what it is, it always gets hate because people:

    • 1 - Hate the content of the patch
    • 2 - Are dissapointed because the content was not what they wanted.
    • 3 - Only want to complain for whatever reason.

Guys, if you keep on hating on the content that is added, then switch games, go play something else and stop spreading your hate on the people that actualy love this game, like i do. It leaves me baffled that everytime i come here after a Patch day, i see "Dissapointed in this" or "This content is bad!" And i have been reading this ever since Heavensward was launched which was when i came back to the game and i had enough!

Again, if you keep on hating on the content they put for us, then leave the FFXIV and go play something else, and hate on something else, but stop giving out hate here, it almost feels like you are trying to Rally out the troops to wage war agaisnt Yoshi-P, who, by the way, works and has worked so much more in these 2 years than any of you in 5 years, and he doesn't need you cry babies making his content seem worthless!

The forums are a place where devs read our feedback and take it into consideration. Or at least that is how it is supposed to work, so complaints are generally quite valid for future content. We could make a bunch of appreciation threads but I think the community shows that via a monthly subscription. ;D

Bless you, OP. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Someone, somewhere has echo'ed your sentiments...has said it multiple times through multiple threads...nothing new to see here really.

You have to read the posts to find the people who are A-Okay with whatever is going on in game or just visit with the general in game population!

    Cheers~

    Two things:
    1. where else are we suppose to show our thoughts and concerns? Reddit?
    2. We want content that pleases everyone but again the dev team doesnt really notice our additions. Such as ways to improve the game and/or content that can please the casuals, midcore, and hardcore players and its that reason why we voice our hate and concerns here in the forums. we don't want a crossover event, we want improvement on whats already here.
but thats just my 2 cents.

To be fair, the forums are here for players to give suggestions and to discuss their concerns about the game. Not everyone will have the same complaints, but the ones that are shared by more posters will get more attention and maybe get noticed by the devs. I've seen plenty of situations where I don't personally think that harsh criticism is justified, others might, but who am I to try to silence their concerns and opinions? I get what you're saying, there's a lot of negativity on the forum, I just think those people have a right to speak up whether or not you or I agree with them. (And tbh there's a lot that I see posted that I do agree with to some extent.)

If someone wants to voice their displeasure over something that's released they are well within their rights to express it here on the forums, what the devs do with that feedback is their prerogative.

Saying "if you don't like it leave" is not a valid suggestion, some of us would rather see the game improve instead of just abandoning it entirely. Are you honestly saying you'd rather no one complained at all about Palace? If so, we might not have gotten last night's hotfix that increased upgrade chances and guaranteed at least +1/+1 from the final boss.

I'd wished people would accept and learn that they dont have to enjoy everything but that there are people out there who might like certain content the devs just "wasted" time on - looking at you here, Jis
It would probably be really healthy for the forum, the form of critic voiced here and "yourself" if you'd ask yourself if you even were the target audience of a certain content before you scream "I DONT LIKE THIS!"

I've seen some pretty good complain-threads - they normally were well thought through - but when I see a "dissapointed in..." thread just hours after the patch is realesed I struggle to take those complains serious - you've seen it and found out it couldnt live up to your expectations and now you're dissapointed... yeah, sure, I guess...? You want to complain a month about everything being to grindey and then another month about not having anything to do until the next patch hits and you can start over again?

This has been said within the last few days I assure you.
    I agree mind you

A fitting solution would be to combine the hundreds~ of duplicate complaint topics in to a single topic for each complaint. And each of the praise topics (they do exist they are just hiding) in to a single topic for each subject.

Then maybe~ any devs actually paying attention to us wouldn't have to wade (and wade.. and wade..) through 10~ pages of the exact same topic to find a new one and would actually be able to deal with some of the actual legitimate issues (that aren't petty selfish tripe about how someone doesn't like that something exists so it had /better/ be removed) once in awhile~ based on constructive feedback that isn't "I've had it, I'm quitting. You have failed me for the last time SE!!!"

Forums are for feedback, good or bad.

People are more likely to voice their opinions about displeasure rather than satisfaction.

Alot of the feedback may be negative, but there is alot of constructive criticism that usuall falls on deaf ears.
