No point on dwelling on an opinion. They can't always be agreed on. I didn't agree 100% with her either because I liked Palace of the Dead! But I just thought "To each her own" and left it at that.

While yes... hate can be an opinion, tons of hate - sometimes unjustified - can tick a person off. She wasn't hostile in her opening message.. No "I hate this" "I hate that" "Remove this". I think it was a perfectly civilized post. And only over time it was blown out of proportion with new " Disappointed " threads. I'm guilty of it, treating it like a game. Regret it too.

Just.. leave it be. Debating is fine. Arguing isn't constructive. If a person is being aggressive it's just natural for someone to probably fight back.

I wouldn't want to be the villian.

Yeah, but I am a firm believer that people can be bettered and can use some understanding that they are not the center of the world nor does their vision be a better one than this of others. Besides, if you never tell someone you dont agree or show different stuff, they will never grow and will believe they are an epitomy...and is by far not the case here.Just me though ...and mostly I agree with you

On a side note though, debating opinions often lead to a solution and more then not an unexpected one even if that requires a debate between adults which you dont necesseraly have on these boards.

One thing I'm not understanding about this. Why does the OP seem to think that the dev team needs some kind of protection from negative criticism? Does the OP think that the dev team will just rage quit because people feel the content they put out is subpar? OP, please seriously tell me what you feel the dev team will do if they get non-stop criticism.

The main issue that I have with most white knights is that they defend without honestly being realistic about what they defend. These guys get paid to do a job. Chances are, since their tongue is native Japanese, they wont even be reading half this junk like they say they do. We are all paying for a service. Some of us are satisfied. Some of us are not. Of course, stop paying for said services speaks the loudest, but some people think they have a voice while still handing a company money, which is also silly.

In short, the dev team doesn't need a group of sheep coming to their defense just because people have issues with the things they are producing. Sure some individuals could be more articulate about it but that has nothing to do with anyone tbh. Ultimately, this will just be ignored. The age argument works both ways. Some people articulate themselves like they are hormonal teenagers hitting puberty (and some may be), but some of these white knights defend so hard that its honestly a bit sad. Like they are trying to earn some kind of favor with the company or dev team that they will never get. Reality sucks, I know.

See that's the problem though the title should be enough to draw you in without needing to read the first post.

Many posts on the forum, if I wanted information on how to fix things I would look for post titles saying improvement,how can X be fixed etc. In the disappointment threads it is mainly filled with whiners offering no solutions to anything.

I feel like for a lot of things, people just hyped themselves up too much. Or, rather, got it into their minds that such-and-such content was going to be like X content from "insert game title here." And when it's not what they expected (despite the Dev. Team telling players what to expect) they end up being disappointed.

Most recently this applies to Deep Dungeons and people complaining about the lack of difficulty, which was pretty much outright stated by the Dev. Team before it came out.

Overall, though, this forum is pretty negative. But so are a lot of other MMO forums. People like to complain and are never satisfied. Especially on the internet.

Most of the people here seems don't get the OP point. OP didn't say we shouldn't give feedback. OP says that we should stop open threads about how dissapoint/bad is a thing, even close to insult developers calling them lazy or time wasters, and instead, give a good feeback while appreciate his effort. I will repeat this again. They care more about JP forums because they KNOW how to give feedback. They open a thread (only ONE) about things that can be added/changed, instead of open 500 saying "this thing suck a lot", "this is not like FFXI (or any other MMO)" and "it is a shit because is not like I want". That's the problem with the western forums. Instead of rage, why simply don't be more civilized?

Also, people only cares about them, not the whole community. You cannot give feedback for 500000 players or more based on your only thinks. Feedback should be for all, not for singles players.

That's why they don't care about as much as japanese forums. You cannot start a suggestion with a "this is a bullshit" or "Devs have no idea about make things" (lol on this) like I read sometimes. I really read too few post that really gives good feedback, without despise developers work, on the western forums.

And of course, player attacking others for having different opinions or how they play the game doesn't help neither.

So, yes, we need to be more civilized and learn to say the things.
