But we knew that. So the event (allegedly) starting tomorrow isn't happening? It seems silly that they ONLY used FFXIV visuals in the promotional video. Damn them! I was hoping to get some kind of finalisation to the longest (?) event in FFXIV so far.

Sweet... mercy! I finally just got the last Yokai Weapon in WLN (after messing up on the order of which weapon to get first) and finished after grinding all day for over 12 hours trying to get the last 4 weapons I need. 2 in WLN and 2 in OLN.

Oh lord... I'm so happy to be done with this event! The drop rates were the REAL monster here... and SE NEVER. EVER. DO. THIS. AGAIN!

That was not fun at all. At least make the drop rates reasonable or something different and engaging! That was Super Atma Farming.

Never got the whisper mount that you get from the Legendary weapons but I really liked this event. It got me into Yokai-Watch (Only saw the anime!), I'm playing through the games right now , could have been less reliant on FATE grinding but I got some really nice minions out of it. I hope to see more crossovers like this, it's cute, it's a fantasy video game where we've had Lightning come to Eorzea I hope the playerbase crying that this is event is out of place doesn't discourage the FFXIV team to collaborate again.

Can you imagine something like Grandblue? That'd be amazing, game's pretty much a FF game at its core.

The video is just talking about the event itself. The whole thing was called 「エオルゼア大集合だニャン！」in Japanese (the "Eorzea Dai Shuugou da nyan!" event you mentioned), so no idea where they got the impression that this was a separate event on October 3rd alone!

Got all 13 weapons on my main, and all minions + a couple weapons on an alt. And I don't even want the mounts. They're ugly. For that matter, so are the weapons and some of the minions. I just did nearly 900 FATEs simply because leaving it incomplete would bug me.

Positive notes, though: It did give me the incentive to level up a bunch of my lower level classes. In the course of all those FATEs, I reached 30 and unlocked jobs on all classes that hadn't gotten that far yet, and reached 45 on WHM to get the first 4/5 of its AF gear. Plus for the jobs that just reached 30, those Yo-kai weapons are BiS for several of them. (I glamoured them to look like regular weapons, though. I'm not into the cartoony look.)

Still relevant a year later. Thank you for this thread/info. It's much needed. My drop rates for legendary tokens have been good until I got to the last 3 which cost 30 each. I did over 30 Fates last night and nothing. I seem to have really bad luck in the evenings. Morning drops much faster for me. I'm doing it all so that way next year I can ignore unless they add something new. I have over 400 regular tokens that I can do nothing with. Wish they'd let us trade em for legendary tokens. Even a 100:1 rate would be fine with me.
