There comes a point in your meeting with him when he "eagerly" asks the main character to have a drink with him. The MC hesitates, but then agrees. Its rather interesting to see that hesitation from the MC, after giving stoic nods 90% of the time.

I was usually not too much into the Aymeric romance element. But after the vibe I got from that scene, I started to think there might be something there.

Yeah but the thing is *spoilers for 3.0 shush newbies* Haurchefant is dead and Aymeric is waaaay hotter. Like, Haurchi was a cute admirer and everything (and that doesn't change with a male PC get your hetero out of here), but I get why people would rather want the ~cool hot elezen bf~™

Although I don't really agree with cheesy relationship or a John Green/Nicholas Sparks (god forbid) romance plot between Aymeric and WoL. More like a tension.
